After watching my Q6600 PC drag balls to run dolphin emulator with zelda windwalker maxxed out (yea, i know your probably like wtf) I decided to just upgrade my processor/ram/motherboard.Of course being the squandering SOAB that i am,all this came into play when i played BF4 beta. (Big fan and playing since 1942,i tripped donkey dick when i found out about the Desert Combat Mod)

My most notable overclock to date was a medocino celeron from 300mhz to 450 mhz, precisely to play Legend of Zelda on an emu.

So i just finished my HTPC build,well partially that is.Been saving to get me a Fractal Design NODE 605,but my big bro ended up getting me a case for Christmas,not the node,however a Thermaltake DH101 HTPC. Been wanting one of these since their release so many years ago,but couldnt afford it back then. +1 for him.
specs are:
Intel i5 3470
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
8GB DDR3 Samsung memory
500 GB HDD (will be adding 3x3tb's soon enough)
Logitech DiNovo Edge Keyboard (dont really need it,after i set up XBMC,this case has it's own front Display and Remote)
Some $75 aftermarket CPU cooler which i picked up from Wizz,must say it pretty quiet.
Random 500W psu (will be upgrading that pretty soon as well)

Oh,my next build to complete will be my LEECHER PC. Just need to get a M350 Case for it and a PSU to suit.

I notice no graphics card. Despite the otherwise burly specs. Not going for a Steam Machinesque HTPC?

Or is that coming later down the pipe?

^nah@steambox.And these Ivy's have pretty decent 1080p playback,so no dedicated video card.Soley for XBMC.

Those specs sort of scream Steam Machine to me.. XBMC would be fine one something half as powerful. lol

So that's what you call it. 

I too have a dedicated 'leecher', but it's connected to my landlord's 30 MB (wired).
No need to bog down my own connection with downloads.

If you use only one gateway (on the wireless connection) you can still connect that leecher to your network via wired ethernet.
Just use a different IP scheme on your network.

yea,specs are a bit overkill to be honest,but i got most of the stuff on great deals,so i went with it.
