Majority of the world my ass, Xbox mainly big in the US that is why Sony already pass them in sales despite launching almost  a year later and the shitloads of  people that had to buy multiple 360s thanks to rrod.Only thing that ah have to admit is shit on psn is how you need almost twice the space to download a game so ah could give that to xbl.Gamed on psn before and gamed on xbl already, both had a couple laggers both ran smoothly otherwise.

Yh sony goin and start chargin people next gen cause them and all must be was surprised how much people willing to pay to use their already payed  for internet connection to play on developers servers.

Seems like all yuh really payin for is cross chat.little off topic here but ironic that microsoft is the only people putting Skype behind a paywall when is them own it.

Microsoft got away with that stupidness....I remember the shock and horror when I realized that xbox live silver meant I could not play games online with my buddies. WTF??

Well yes...that was a defining moment for me.

They very very lucky that Halo was sufficiently wicked that I bought an xbox and an xbox 360 else was "fire ah go blaze.....for all dem evil wayz, for the rest of their dayz"

So like Arc, I am not going to rush to defend Microsoft at all.

It is nothing short of a horror story that Sony is now also charging for online multiplayer access. Something they can only get away with because of the masses that PROVED gamers would be willing to pay X amount of $$ a month to play online.

Meanwhile, back on Mount Olympus, PC gamers continue to play triple A titles for free online.

Also, America is a huge influencer when it comes to tech. Having a huge market share there ain't no small thing, if yUh can't win over the US when it comes to tech and services, yUh wasting time.

And I preorder ah xbone, ps4 staying right there till I see something like uncharted or god of war. But uncharted 3 was lil disappointing, 2 was way better, so u4 alone mite not be enough to sway me. Only bought a ps3 for these games, (they are all I buy) Uncharted 1-3, Mortal, God Of War, Tekken. Everything else was PC. And I bought that system when mortal release, late in the lifecycle. PS4 would be d same. Xbone was getting shaft too, but they had me at killer instincts. Gg no re. Combined with halo and gears, ah could now go xbone. And I really want d media features Kinect and Skype etc for d living room. When I get it to do xbmc, gg.

Well I have to agree with Shaq. A lot of those nice XBOX features sat unused on my system. I only played games. Full stop.

Iphones are ludicrously over priced. The xbox live service is ludicrously overpriced.

Well u know me, I've always pushed PC hard, console is strictly for exclusives, free online was never one of my reasons for PC though .  And being overpriced don't guarantee success , getting a ginormous portion of d market to pay for it does. (the US). And how do u get millions of ppl to continually pay for overpriced products and services? Quality....amd nobody can't say d iPhone or xbl don't have quality. As much as I hate iPhone, I do admit it is a quality piece of software and hardware. But now that both xbl and psn paid, guess we screwed, PC master race ftw.

Microsoft will continue "Games with Gold" for Xbox Live Gold members


Microsoft had originally launched “Games with Gold”, as a short time promotion to give away free games to Xbox Live Gold members. Today, the company has announced that they will be continuing the “Games with Gold” program as a continued benefit for consumers.
 
The “Games with Gold” program offers up two free downloadable games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers to enjoy each month. The games offered vary from blockbuster AAA titles to smaller indie games – either way, they are usually a blast to play (and they are free!).

According to a survey by Microsoft, 97% of members who have participated in the “Games with Gold” program have “given their stamp of approval”. As with anything Microsoft does, there is usually a small crowd that complains – in this instance, some gamers don’t like the free game selection that is being offered (did we mention that the games are free – no charge?).

Get involved now by downloading Halo 3, the current free game for the remainder of the month, and have fun!

Never confuse my love for Halo and going legit (windows license, opensource, etc...) with a love for paying monthly to pay online.

That was and still is a great tragedy that gamers sanctioned....unlike Steam...which has been nothing short of a boon to our kind.

fellas why all the hate for console gamers??? i personally gamed on console for years and bought a pc early this year, first to begin after years of playing fps games with a gamepad, its incredibly hard to play with mouse and keyboard. my hands does catch cramp. and after 8 months of trying, i thought i would get accustomed to it by now, no luck. now console have games that look better than on pc. dafuq!! yea i know alluh men in here rocking 780 and thing but i have a 7870.
