I do,

usually use it the other way around though

Converting DVI out from the PC to HDMI for the monitor.

What does he plan to do for sound? Optical out?

He got the converter cable from supertech for 30$ , his monitor has sound built in, so he using the rca cables with a converter to the headphones jack it has... Thanks bro
