meh i quote this from a gaming site i saw and i 100% agree with it
"A new class, some new areas, a new level cap and a couple of new monsters isn't really enough to convince me to buy this expansion. I really want to like the game, I really do, but I'm not going to fall for the same mistake again.

Blizzard are awesome at animating, art direction and making good game mechanics, everyone knows that, but the story in Diablo 3 was sadly beyond abysmal. I'm pretty sure the gameplay is much better now than it was over a year ago and that the expansion will add a lot more, but that isn't really enough. I'll wait and see what the reviews and players say about it after it has been released, but so far I remain skeptic."

Hmm, I thought the story was epic. Very well told, epic cinematics, and very blizzard-esque.
Cant wait on expansion. That money done spend, and based on d sales of d original (broke all sorts of records), I certain this expo going to fly off store shelves.

I remain unconvinced myself. Still haven't been moved to purchase the game, even after playing the demo.

Blame the epic Torch Light II for that (didn't put down the game till it was beaten proper, lol even Dota 2 went on pause, hats off to you Runic)

It was truly a huge let down to me, i wont rush this time i will wait for the reviews. oh god i remember the lag the enormous amount of downtime because of maintenance NEVER FORGET ERROR 37, the story, re-playability. Touch light II and Last Exile spits in Diablo's 3 face. I really want this expansion to be good<3

When I tried tl2 it was buggy, leggy, buggy, and more leggy. 6 of us tried it, and we had so many issues, we exit and never try it since. Fire bun tl2. May be a great game, but never got far enough to tell.

And as far as visuals and polish goes, Diablo was just way better.
Apart from the Infamous error 37, after that day, never had an issue with d3. Always ran perfectly for me.

I beat Diablo 3 (4p coop) , 3 times, was on my 4th play through and got caught up with other stuff.

This expo getting lash hard.

Maybe your machine was too fast for Torch Light 2. lol

It worked absolutely flawlessly on mine.

Diablo 3 had polish but no soul. Torch Light was a third of the price and three times as fun.

That said, if Diablo 3 goes on sale for $9.99 as a promo for this upcoming expansion, I'll grab it and play it when bored. (full disclosure....I'm never bored)

Only broke records because it had a fan base from 10 years before. A lot of hype. Something similar happened to EA with Sim City but not as bad XD

Lord alone knows that i wish i didn't link all my mc blizzard games to one Battle.net account. Could have sold my WoW account and Diablo account to some poor soul lol. Keep the SC2 of course

Is 6 of we try the TL2 wyatt, all varying types of machines, and in different countries. The configuration was as such:

4 Cayman Machines, 1 Trini Machine, 1 US machine.

The experience was atrocious for everyone. Yuh walk in a door to warp to another section, everybody game stick.
Loading screen mite come up and never leave. Level lag for everyone involved. The procedures to even create account and get into a playable game was just retarded as well. We did try the game a few days later, incase the bugs were resolved, and they weren't, same set of balls. After the 2nd attempt we just never bother.

D3 on the other hand, start up, loggin with sc2 account, and press go.

and @ Virtue, how much yUh want to bet the sales of the expansion will be off the charts as well?

It rel weird hearing alyuh hating on D3, d3 is one of the better games I play for that year. Had rel fun in that game. We all did. My whole team waiting with baited breath to play the Expansion. I know men loss rel sleep over this game, (2 of the trinis we swet with included). All on work I they in auction house selling shit, lol, ah game din get me that addicted in a rel long time. Usually I does hadda force mehself to make time, D3 was ah loss life oui. Berzerk could attest to that also, that man was more freak on the game than me.

And wyatt, funny u should say it had no soul, cause im a souly kind guy lol, games without soul (cough, cod, cough) I don't really like. So in what way is TL2 better than D3? because I find D3 was more polished, Better graphics, and I liked the story. What about TL2 would u say makes it spit in d3 face?

IGN seem to think diablo 3 was better also, and they also note that TL2 had weak story and characters...

The way alyuh men talking is like D3 was shit and TL2 rel hot. So I would really like to know why.

I'm not hating but for a company like blizzard to launch a game that had so many bugs on launch is poor imo. Very poor.

I can safely say I did not get my moneys worth in this game though. Such repetition in this game killed my soul. Let's not talk about how insanely hard "Inferno" mode was. I gave up after reaching stage 4. Die hard fans will enjoy it but for people like me who were new the franchise, it didn't catch me at all.

Agreed that a company like blizzard to launch with bugs was poor, but they quickly got it sorted. So I excuse that.
Yes inferno was insanely hard lol.

Question, did you play D3 with a group or solo?

Both. I had quite a few friends, 3 or 4 separate groups (all of which have stopped played months ago). 1 or 2 of them were even diablo 1 & 2 players and were disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, the gameplay was good, the concept interesting and the story decent, but there's very little merit to those pull factors after the 2nd or 3rd replay. The PVP also took way too long to release. You would think that was something that should have been there from launch.

But i believe i'm becoming bored with games very quickly with the exception of DOTA 2 (it's ALWAYS a different game). BF3 i dropped off after a couple months, mainly because the GPU i used at the time just couldn't push it the way I wanted but that will be changed for BF4.

I hear all that.
I myself have not played D3 for months, after the 3rd playthrough that was it for me.
But I also eh play sc2 for months and many others.

(It have other game to freak), But that don't mean it aint worth the money. Uncharted 3 for instance, game last me a solid 14 hrs and that's it, that game eh see me again. Diablo 3 I mustbe burry over 100hrs into it. 60$ for 100hrs of gameplay not bad, when u paying that same 60$ for 10-14hrs of gameplay in other things.

But that aside, what I want to know is, what makes TL2 better. Cause yUh eh answer that yet.

Agree on TL2, its a great 20 dollar game no doubt but a few things

1. The polish is severely lacking, its a budget game and it shows (which is fine)
2. Art style is so reminiscent of Blizzard its ridiculous
3. These are ex Blizz. I always...always hear (including studio head on Firefall) "Back when I was in BLizzard.." "When I was at Blizzard" "When we were working on X at Blizzard..." I'll leave it there, but don't try to make another Blizzard...thats UNpossible. I think that is the reason both titles are good, but just not nailing that final umph.
I found myself doing the same after leaving CoD (Well when I was on CoD, When we worked on CoD we...then realized you know what, I'm not on fucking CoD anymore, im on THIS...so lets deal with this) Butthurt syndrome. Hard to let go
