I voted as well, wouldn't say I hate metro....just not interested in it on the desktop.

When a windows tablet comes into my life (if ever) or maybe a touch screen monitor then it will be relevant.

Windows 8 at its core is fantastic (just as Windows 7)

I treat Metro like Windows Media Center, lol. Just another add on that I need not use.

lol @ media center , and wyatt, you should really give this a look:

Logitech T650

It dramatically change my metro desktop experience, (The pad have every last gesture my surface pro has). I hate trackpads on laptops, with a passion. But I still give the T650 a try, took about 2 weeks to get used to, but once I was, when I try to use Windows 8 with a regular mouse, I does get rel annoyed. P.S. I still hate laptop trackpads...

Edit: Microsoft Touch Mouse is a good option too, but I handled it and didn't like it. Also I use a T650 as the portable mouse for my surface. Just slips in the same pouch, gg.
