I've been warring with technology over the past year or so. My desktop died then my laptop, got a new laptop and this one seems to have some issue with Photoshop.

I was looking at some basic diy tower bundles on newegg but I though that I should check here first.

Any of you guys looking to part ways with an old tower soon? Probably around the price range of $2000?
I know at that price I won't be able to get much but it'll be better than what I have now.

Not at this very moment but probably closer to the end of the month when I get paid.

well for that price i can arrange at least an amd dualcore 3.0ghz and at least 4gb ram with a 500GB harddrive..

I've got a system here i could let go for around $1500,all parts brand new. Processor still sealed in box,along with ram and HDD.

AMD athlon x2 270 3.4ghz dual core
MSI 760GM-P23 motherboard
Kingston 4gb DDR3 Ram
160GB sata WD Hard drive
500W PSU

Hard O/C....in the spirit of the forum.....if someone makes a public request for a sale or trade, respond publicly like the other members.

PM is fine for trading phone numbers, pick up location and other such sensitive data.

The actual items to be traded and price should be stated openly.

seriously NGW this makes no sense the man made a request for parts no matter how it was fulfilled ... It doesn't matter pm or not....you can't demand somebody to respond in a post .... Wtf because the info would be for the OP not the responders ...... Not cool

Wrong Preston.....there are rules that govern the trading grounds, which are in place to ensure our members are not swindled or hoodwinked and are treated fairly.

That requires a certain amount of transparency.

This applies across the board, not singling you out.

It is very obvious when something is posted for sale. Transparency and the "dibs" process is usually followed....as good forum etiquette dictates.

However the rules get a little vague when someone makes a request.

Simply state that the offer is exclusive to him. That's fine.

I don't expect people to have any issue with you underselling them....this is a trading grounds. It is not a commercial space.

If you were running a business and selling equipment through here under the guise of membership trade, well that would be different. We have policies in place to deal with commercial entities in a different manner by way of advertising threads that cost $$.

This issue is not "out of hand" at all. It is very simple and politely being discussed. The very purpose of the forum is to foster discussion. So don't rush to end the conversation for the sake of it.

We may have highlighted an issue that others will now be able to avoid. A lot of good may come of this.

Absolutely no offense is intended. None whatsoever.
