And that's my issue. Console men solution is... don't do it lololol.

I want them to fix it. I don't want to have to "not do it" because it too tedious, or because I too busy putting bullet in man to have a proper reliable fast chat solution on my console.

Next gen yuh say right? Come better than that.

And yes, I get too lazy being fast and efficient on pc. Coming across to console feels like I was driving ah Ferrari all d time, and fellers put me on a bicycle and tell me forget about luxuries, you're going to peddle away, shoot ppl, shut up, and be happy about it.

Hell, even opening up that friends list, to see what games men in, does be slow and annoying. (Compared to steam).

Chat is ludicrously easy on the PC, even while playing games.

Yes, it can be done fast enough that during an FPS game like Borderlands, I'll quickly initiate or reply to someone on my friend list (and not die)

It should be that easy on console, but without a native keyboard, I don't see it happening.

Totally agreed that they should make the process easier.

Like "hold down start and a trigger button" to pop up a chat window and a list of friends online.

Hold down start and trigger to close.

quick and painless.

The phone app is a great stop gap solution. I want to see how that works in the flesh to see if it is good enough to fix the issue.

It is not good enough to fix the issues, its good enough to address the lack of a keyboard id say, but not the issue in general. The scenario u describe with borderlands for instance , would not work for phone app, cause phone app involves taking ur hands off your controller to use it.

This mite not bother most of you, but old school like me and Wyatt, its ah huge deal.

Imagine I hadda be training men on Xbox one to know that, even though they not seeing me online, msg me still, because ill get the notification on my pc, and if I free ill pop on to sweat. I dont have to be in front the Xbox and online for men to know I could sweat. Xbox getting closer to pc, but the console mentality of communication still in men strong lolol.

I just hope as this generation progresses, these chat interfaces, as well as other small, but highly annoying things, gets better over time. (and using Xbox one everyday, there are a good few annoying , lacking, things on console)

Blame dem same men for not explorin their systems features. And if you and wyatt was OG this wouldna be a issue. Is the system slower than pc ? Hell yeah. Does that make it unbearable? Nope.

Ah not making it out like an arm and ah leg, ah making it out like it "tedious" and "annoying" which it is.

And it have nothing to do with explaining system features. It have to do with the current solution is lacking when coming from a PC platform. Knowing that upfront or not would not make any difference to the fact that, the solutions in place are mediocre and can be a lot better.

And having ah man number to call him on the phone to ask him if he sweating irellevent to the issue.
I have berserk number, and when we ready to run gears, and I can't get him on steam, or FB chat, I call. But calling is last resort cause it ain't cheap from way I calling.

Whatever "alternative" men recommend, ain't change the fact that, what there now, is meh.
Is not a deal breaker, I still freaking d hell out of my Xbox, nobody saying that. I saying.... it bleddy annoying.

And d way men touting consoles, and how "advance" they are, and all this "next-gen" hoopla, I was honestly expecting more.

But like alyuh men content with what alyuh have lolol. Me personally, want better, and they CAN do better. (BTW, the GFWL interface on PC is also annoying eh, and I have a keyboard to use that....lol...but that's a perfect example of a console UI ported to pc, meh. Steam FTW.).

Mind you, steam have a lot to learn from them too....especially now that it heading into the living rooms with their Steam Machine initiative.

Better for all gamers as the systems improve on both sides.

Exactly. But unlike consoles, steam has already made, and continuing to make the right moves to transition, steam big picture is pretty solid. We go see how both progress.

You should see the looks I get from my wife when I drag out the XIM and hook up my keyboard and mouse to the xbox. lol

You can get away with the mini keyboards but good luck trying to game with those.

Couch is where the action is at and for the couch you need epic controllers.

The gravis grip failed to gain traction, despite being pretty decent, as the defacto gamepads for the PC. We will see how the steam controller fares soon enough.



Without success in that particular arena, Steam Machines will fail to compete enmasse in the living room.

That's just it, we don't need steam machines or steam controllers for living room gaming, the same Xbox and Xbox one controllers connected to a mgr will do just fine. Steam machines just making it ah lol more accessible, hell, d alienware steam machine dual booting with windows 8 lololol. Is just ah damn PC , nothing special about a steam machine, just marketing. And you know my thoughts on steamos.

I reply between rounds too, but doing shift+tab, typing my reply quick, then going on bout my business, is 100 times faster, than doing it on a console with a controller. I could have time type out 2 paragraphs before the next round start on pc, vs half ah sentence on console.

Point I trying to make it, the console equivalent is inadequate when compared to what I a custom to on pc.

my response wasnt about controller it was about how regardless of using a keyboard and type or controller its a pain and takes time and i type pretty fast

the length of time u take to type and then get a reply the next round start so then what? wait till next round end to reply again? just join the party chat and say what u gotta say
