Apparently Titanfall wasn’t always destined to be an Xbox/PC exclusive. According to a report in The Final Hours of Titanfall, there was ample opportunity for Sony to secure the shooter for release on the PlayStation 4,PlayStation 3, and PS Vita.

The report reveals that Sony wasn’t willing to give Respawn Entertainment the tools needed to make a PlayStation 4 version of the game, as details about the new console were not public knowledge. However, they were willing to push forward with a PlayStation Vita version of the game.

With Electronic Arts publishing the title, they struck a deal with Microsoft that left PlayStation owners out of the picture when it comes to one of the best multiplayer games of 2014. The report suggests that Titanfall might not have been developed at all, if Microsoft hadn’t partially funded the game.

The rest of the story is history. Titanfall launched last month for the Xbox One and PC, and recent sales data shows that it was the top selling game of the month. Though the same data also reveals that Sony not having Titanfall isn’t hurting them too badly. They are very much winning the console war at the moment, having sold 7 million PlayStation 4 consoles since November.

While they might have had their issues in getting Titanfall to PlayStation this time around, the probability of a sequel is high. Respawn Entertainment’s Vince Zampella has already expressed interest in bringing Titanfall 2 to all platforms.

First off. EA, aka Money in the Bank aka the "PUBLISHERS" of Titanfall didn't fund the game ? The people selling the exclusivity rights of the game had nothing to do with it other than slapping 'EA' on it. Bull...Shit Shit like this mighthave been believable had they not previously made more bullshit statements like Titanfall was only possible with Microsoft's Cloud. Quick question, how would you make a ps version without Microsoft's Cloud ?

"Sony wasn't willing to give Respawn....." This is a popular language known as bullshitingme.It basically means Microsoft's offer was the best, their cheque had more digits, simple as that. First time I hearing bout Platform holders having to fund a multiplatform game.I would love for somebody like shivadee to enlighten me on this about now.Sony see more potential in Outlast and Mercenary Kings than Titanfall or what? Steups.

And ah next thing them wasn't talking bout how them en even know bout the exclusivity deal ? Expect me to believe Mr.Zampella so facking daft? If this true I recommend this man go back and pick up some courses in Law, Business and Reading.

judging by the all caps on the KZ comment i would say YES
for $20 bucks u are gettin the Insurgent DLC which dropped this month which adds a new insurgent class along with 3 old school KZ guns (M82 AR, LS12 machine pistol, Sta14 semi auto sniper/dmr) and 3 new abilities for the Assault, Scout and Support classes

u will also be gettin the horde type coop mode which is due in June and other goodies yet to be announced
so if u know ur gonna be playing it alot then yes get it

personally the return of the old KZ2/KZ3 M82 AR for the support class brought me back to the game along with the insurgent class, that class if u learn how to play it is ALOT of fun.

add me on PSN vice-_-kartel and post up urs for others to add

Also im sure we have more than 8 trinis with PS4s
ppl should dload Blacklight Retribution its F2P and we could host up some local 4v4s or 8v8s or sum say every fri/sat/sun

addie is BerserkIymc, also tried warframe, not bad, but seems a tad complicated. tried blacklight on steam wasn't a fan, might give it a try here.

Also Mercernary Kings is epic fun. Co op goodness at its finest, and free to boot.

new update coming april 30th and confirms being able to archive ur twitch streams and also moves the twitch chat to the space under the face cam that was previously wasted

BIG improvement sony, always felt that space was being wasted and the chat was takin up alot of game screen

also caught a Mr Shiva aka finalb00st using an app on his PS4 called "Music Playback Demo" someone got a trial run of mp3 playback coming to PS4 in 1.7 or soon after?

if its one feature im really enjoying is watching the streams, all in one place. really really cool.

Tried blacklight, surprised at how good the guns felt, feel unusually comfortable playing it on a controller. Not bad for free!

I did notice that games installed a bit faster.

As for load times, I can't say. I didn't do any before/after tests.
Real-world tests by many others suggest that the hybrids are a bit faster than the stock drives, so don't worry.

I just care mostly about all the extra space.
