That is a beastly machine.

Question, what are your current specs right now?

Seeing an i5 in your side profile....if so, a big graphics cards maybe all the upgrade you need. Not an entire new system.

That i5 is a beast of a gaming processor as is.

The HD 3000 is what is really killing you at the moment.

Also, as a cautionary note, I would look for a PSU with a little more oomph. Say in the US$69 - 75 range.

600 - 700 Watts.

Gamings rigs make a habit of chewing through PSUs. That is one area where you don't want to go cheap. Worse yet...a malfunctioning PSU can wreak all sorts of havoc on your system.

I had lock ups and crashes galore with a brand new 600W "brand name" psu.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EYV690/ref=wms_ohs_product

(note the price (54.99)

Changed every component out one by one before discovering the PSU was the culprit.

Put all the original parts back in with another brand 750W PSU and voila....right as rain.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003U29C3Q/ref=wms_ohs_product

Note the price (109.99)

Decent choice in parts. Just a few notes...

AM3 as a platform is on its way out, to be replaced by Trinity socket FM2 (if you care about that sort of thing). Then again, its amd. Pretty much any modern CPU (phenom, fx, trinity), even the brand new ones push out the same performance so meh.

That PSU (specs wise) is actually ok for the system. Kinna overkill actually for what you plan to run with decent amount of reserve for future expansion. I'd probably consider a better brand though for reliability and whatnot, something like this, same price.

Stongly recommend you push for a SSD in addition to your conventional rotational storage, preferably something like this. Its going to single handedly make that PC feel like a supercomputer..

Also, i'd go with the gtx 660 from nvidia. Based on personal experience from several ATI cards i've owned over the years, i'd say you're better off Nvidia. Again, same price.

Can't go wrong with the SSD recommendation. Once you can afford it and willing to give up Space in lieu of epic speed.

And we do mean epic.

I wouldn't go so far as to say overkill re: PSU.

I think the 600 Model you recommended is better fare.

Can't overstate enough how important a PSU is for a gaming system. ESPECIALLY if you're getting an SSD.

Many reports of SSDs causing spontaneous reboots with PSUs that are flaky in even the slightest of ways. Some are very sensitive to power fluctuations apparently.

Agreed. Yeah I won't really trust a rosewilll to deliver clean stable power. Remember high wattage is not everything. You're better off with a lower watt unit that has a higher quality voltage rail system.

Case in point, my system pulls only 120 watts on idle peaking at just shy of 400 on load so technically anything over 500w is overkill.

just got news from a few people with these cards saying that they have some problems
with a certain game that i play and i tend to play this one a lot but i have to hold back this week and
yeah i might put out some more paper on the 660 ti or a 650 if someone can help me pick out a pc that costs less than 650 or maybe just a little more it would be fine by me
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/SkyRayz/saved/
it doesn't have to be future proof or anything i am not competing with anyone
cause i have bills to pay as well >_>

If you wanna save $55 or so, u can go with this board and this cpu and put the saved money plus very little extra and score a bess 660 ti.

Cpu will give you very decent game performance and the board is still pretty featureful. Good to go.

No serious future proofing but with as setup like this PC even though skimping on the parts you gonna be gaming comfortably on it for the next year into two easy. Make sure the video card is the 660ti at least. No weaker.

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive   $69.99
HIS Radeon HD 7870 2GB Video Card   $229.99
NZXT Source 220 ATX Mid Tower Case   $49.99
Antec Neo Eco 520W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply   XXXXXXXXXXXX
Rosewill Green 630W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply   $59.99
i am open for input from you guys, not the best but good enough considering the $4300 tt budget

If u don't mind buying some things used....

AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE 3.2Ghz AM3 cpu (used) - $400
WD/Seagate  SATA 1TB HARD DRIVE   $710.00 (new)
KINGSTON HYPERX 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM   $350.00 (new) (2 x 4GB)
MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ MAINBOARD   $725.00 (new) OR MSI 760g-P43 (FX) ~ $450-$500 (new)
(video card could be from cariszone)
(case will have to be imported, that specific one not really available locally at a reasonable price)
Corsair Builder Series CX 600 600W power supply  - $200 (used)

So average total excluding case is  - $4371.77

If you import the video card u should save a couple hundred since is $220US on amazon average.
The case may cost some cash since it a bit heavy.

The other stuff i listed above available locally , plus u get a good warranty on them (the new stuff).

I make an offer to sell you my EVGA GTX 460 2Win video card. Basically SLI on one card.

Asking $1300 for it (see Trading grounds) and with some digging online, found this forum that says basically that my card is faster:

http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1099611-upgrade-to-1-gtx-660ti-from-2-gtx-460s-in-sli/

And considering a GTX 660 is about US$220, it is quite a deal. Choice is yours. Just make sure you have at least a 750W Power Supply...
God is dead.

sure thing.

The GTX 660 is a beast. Can't go wrong. Will ensure it gets here within your budget.

Always happy to help another gamer...ESPECIALLY a PC gamer. Millions of console gamers around here nowadays. lol

You can come pay at our office. I'll pm you the info.

Check and double check the components you want before we place the order. In case you have a change of mind about PSU or anything.

The one's Captain Awesome recommended should fit the bill though.
