Google Product Search/Shopping.... steeuppsss

I'm a heavy user of Google Product Search... now called Google shopping when searching for random products at low prices.

For the past few months i find that the engine was a bit off as items i know to exist or items of lower pricing were not showing up in the search result.

Now today finding out via a Bing campaign that Google shopping is now a paid service where sellers pay google to list their items and also to raise the priority that is displayed in their search results... who knows if this will become normal search within the future... as if the ridiculous amount of ad's werent enough...

steups... i will have to find another product search engine... guess i'll be over at bing and see if they yeild better results...

Is this the same as froogle?

I've used that for ages but it was never really very superior to just looking at the usual places.

Google always down played it as well. Kept it in beta and had zero hype around it.

This might be why.
