Assassins Creed 3!

Oh the detail, the story and the gameplay ... truly a work of art!

Path of Exile. You can sign up for the beta. This game is THE dungeon crawler. btw it goes open beta on Jan 23, this is a free to play game. This is old school Diablo/Diablo 2 with one HELL of a talent system. Old school hardcore awesome

man, WATCH that talent tree. At first I was kinda "wtf is this" but when you start looking into it, its a brilliant design. its one giant tree that is set for all classes, you just start at different areas in the tree depending on your class. In other words you can be whatever you like.

Level cap is 100.

That talent tree is a labyrinth, lol

wow!

Currently playing Torchlight II. Another Dungeon Crawler. Very much Diabloesque. (Some of the team members actually made Diablo, lol)

The music in some parts is almost a copy and paste.

I find PoE to be a much more superior experience from the Diablo 2 perspective. They have built on what works, and the interest in moving forward has taken a priority.

- Story: You are an exile (hence the name) doomed to die on a cursed land where you must learn to survive, and combat the evils. Sounds straightforward. You immediately find, like in all prisons, there are people who are innocent, and they are not fighters, and they are good people who help you. You are immediately pressed into helping a tiny community from being pillaged (the story goes on). And some GREAT characters to chose from

- Loot system: This is much more about augmentation than just finding drops. You can get weapons from enemy drops yes, but you can augment them with gems, but the gems are you actual active skills (You dont have a frost bolt gem, you cant cast frostbolts). the gems can level up IN their socket (hence your ability levels). You can also take the gems out, and put them in other weapons, they are not locked. The talent forest is your passive tree (inc. strength, crit, weapon damage etc). You can be a melee witch, a caster warrior..whatever you like since the talent forest and active skill tree is linked to all classes.

- Progression: The game has 100 levels. As you complete the game you unlock a difficulty giving better loot, and of course more challenging enemies. Bunch of friends and I are on the 4th difficulty level and are only at level 40. The developer assures us that it would literally take YEARS to level cap. Don't know if this is true. But people have been beta testing this for a year, and no one has capped.

I REALLY think people should give this a try. Those dead serious on trying it should give me a shout, I might be able to facilitate them with a key, but the number I have are severely limited.

Also as a supporter I have the soundtrack, which is AMAZING (can send to those that would like it) - (pledged over 150 US to this team to help fund the project. I truly believe it surpasses all Dungeon crawlers to date - something i have NEVER done)

Looks fantastic.

Character selection screen reminded me of Quest For  Glory, which is absolutely brilliant.

Playing out Binary Domain

A lot better than i thought it would be. Got it dirt cheap on steam sale, and enjoying the heck out of it.
