Is flow upgrading their packages, getting faster speeds this morning

Does anyone know if they upgrading their packages or am i just lucky. I'm paying for 5mb but as of this morning I'm get 10mb  on download. So I'm killing it until it stops or find out if they did this intentionally.
Is this happening to anyone else?

Speed hasn't changed for me. Still getting 60-90% packet loss on the ping test, though my net did go down sometime overnight so they may have done some work.

As of yesterday and even as we speak Im getting max speeds on my torrents. Even with healthy torrents that used to rarely happen unless it was early morning hours we talking. Im on the 5mb package btw.

I noticed a file I clicked downloaded almost immediately. wtf!

Did a speedtest to Miami and this was the result

Interesting, i did a speedtest to LA and got 3mb/s on the 15mb/s package. Still crappy pings, but will restart and test again when i get home.

LA is on the other side of the US, I would be surprised to get 15mb heading that far west.

Better option would be Miami.

Would be interesting to test against the server I used and see if you have similar results.

I only did the ping tests on closer servers and surprisingly they dropped more packets than the LA servers.

Will test on that miami server later this afternoon/evening.

Define closer

If they were in the Caribbean, they may actually be further as the internet flies.

I've found Miami to be a practical option. Also, strangely enough, Atlanta has proven to be "closer" to us in terms of latency. Something we learned back in the Battlefield Bad Company 2 era.

We would get better pings to Atlanta based game servers than most any other region on the planet. Go figure.

You'd think South America would offer superior speeds and response times.

Yeah, funny that.

South America is several thousand miles closer, and the latencies are several thousand times worse. 

That said though...ping times to Brazil tend to be quite adequate at times.
