Project coming along very nicely.

Wish I had a double din available in my SUV to install something similar. Bloody proprietary audio setup won't allow for the LCD to fit.

The software solution looks wicked. Designed specifically for in dash use.

The stock audio setup of the Xtrail proved more than sufficient for the job at hand.

Must admit, didn't expect bluetooth to work so seamlessly. My headset experience with BT technology isn't exactly HiFi. Based on that (and other wireless devices in general) wouldn't have gone with that solution for car audio.

Seeing yours in action has convinced me otherwise.

I'll try to spring for a bluetooth / android setup so the kids/misses could play DJ on some long trips.

as for the system being stock.. there was a sundown 100.4 under your seat and i dampened the doors. but im glad u think its stock, because that is the look i was aiming for.

Not like back in the day where men would have 6x9s all over the trunk and tweeters stitched to the ceiling. lol

So we got the screen there with it in place finally. The half a laptop came to me when I realized some heat issues wud be faced. And yes. I know I took apart a perfectly working laptop with good specs for this. Very aware of that. Lolz. The later pics wud include working operations. In the pics u would also see the VGA and USB touchscreen interface cable.

Next plan is for an inverter to be wired into the cars ignition. And provide power to the unit.
