Been really trying to get into this game hardcore but that stuttering issue is too damn annoying, anyone got a fix for this?

Nope...hopefully the next driver update, or DICE patch will fix it.

...or break it...the way things have been going lately.   :/

Mantle renderer now available in Battlefield 4
« Reply #423 on: January 30, 2014, 08:45:15 AM »
Anyone tried the new update yet?

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/news/view/bf4-mantle-live/

The new game update for Battlefield 4 brings the Mantle renderer that DICE has developed in conjunction with AMD. With this first release of Mantle, you can expect performance increases in the game if you have the hardware to support it. In this blog post, the Technical Director for Frostbite details this exciting new step for the Battlefield series.

Because it's for the new GPU architecture

Even my card, R9-280X, doesn't appear there because it's a modified version of the HD 7000 series architecture.

Is that the 1.2 GB patch I've been hearing about?

Played a few rounds last night, and it actually behaved.

I hope this update doesn't break anything.  :(

So.... They've broken the sound in the game XD

I find it a little amusing. I'll wait till they fix it to play some more. It's a little difficult not hearing where shots/voices/explosions/footsteps are coming from but everyone is at that disadvantage.

Waiting to try out the AMD Mantle drivers as well. Should be out any day now ^_^

Apparently that sound issue is only in Team Deathmatch.
Don't play that mode so I'm unaffected, but as has become the norm now, a fix for some things unfixes others.

That CPU might be bottlenecking your GPU. I'm not 100% sure.

And your rank goes up when you hit a benchmark with the number of posts you make

well that's the thing when i jus started out i was getting frames consistently in the range of 60-80, the stuttering never affected the framerates but now they're jumping all over the place.

did some tweaking which didn't help the fps by much, between low and ultra the fps drops and spikes all the same, i did some research and found the fx 6300 is not generally a powerhouse when it comes to gaming even though i haven't had any issues with it so far. I'm about to do some upgrades yet again and i'm looking at a core  i5  4670k and  the Z87-G45 gaming board from msi.
