It was EVERYTHING I could ask for and more.
PERFECT set-design, no cheesy dialogue, surprisingly funny Ron Perlman appearance. WIN!
The sound..the SOUND. Unbelievable. *watches Logitech Z5300 with disdain*

What can I say about Idris Elba, that hasn't already been said. The man OWNS every role, eats it up, spits it out and hungers for MORE.
STANDOUT performance. *applause*

...and those visual effects...Mother. Of. God.

The underwater nuclear detonation...how the water was pushed out to form a MASSIVE air bubble...which then imploded as the shockwave receded...SPOT. ON.

Thank you WB for taking a chance on this movie...and even BIGGER thanks to Guillermo Del Toro being able to dream BIG (literally).
My childhood has come full circle: Gi Joe, Transformers, Iron Man...and now THIS, which represents EVERY time I wished that one of my favourite
robot/mecha anime would come to life on the big screen.

Of course it goes without saying that I ~~want~~ need to see this one at least two MO times.

I've watched it over at least 3 times now thanks to the misses, I was pleasently surprised she liked it so much. BESS MOVIE, can't wait for sequel:
