Hearing all this mouse [pad] talk made me decide to hand-wash my mouse pad, oui. Dish washing liquid et al.

Is a cloth steel series pad, extra large. Best mouse pad I ever owned.

The G500 is nice, but the button placement (and quantity) on the G700 is superior.

...and you can take the battery out of the G700 (making it lighter) and use it wired.
As someone mentioned, the charging cable is also a data cable.

How's that for versatility?  GG Logitech.

Hmm like i really spark a fire with this 'choosing the right mouse thread'

How many is just enough buttons?
I like having 5 on mine (lef click, right, mousewheel *button* and 2 for the thumb.
not a fan of a jillion buttons.

I'd love more dynamic DPI though.

Enough buttons on a mouse for me is 10 buttons apart from left/right click.

10 buttons becuase i want to be able to assign every group in starcraft to a button on my mouse.
I also want to be able to assign every weapon in an fps to a button on my mouse.

So i dont use mousewheel to switch weaponds. if i want missle, i press mouse back, if i want buckshot, i press mouse up. etc etc etc. Instant change of weaponds in twitch shooters, making it much more usefull and briss.

Then games like mass effect, i set abilities to different buttons etc.

So basically, all i use my keyboard for, is WSAD and Spacebar, and Shift to run
nothing else. Or in SC, A for attack, and nothing else.

And d g700 is programmable, u coudl set whatever keys to do whatever u want, including dpi switching. But i doh use dpi switch, i find a good dpi i comfortable with and run with that. So i typical has d buttons on my mouse set to1-0, all 10 numbers. So then ingame, i jus remap keys to mouse and it go act as a numberpad on meh mouse. everything assignable ingame. GG.
