I have some questions for you fellas. Im going LIVE at the end of this month and want to know about its setup.
It not so much about the setting up of the system but the fees and payments to play.

First thing is that i see there is a version 3.0 starter kit out with Mech Assault in it. Do I need version 3.0 or will any version work

Next thing is this. Is it a one year free membership or is it a 2 month trial? I seeing all kinda thing on the XBOX website and its really not explained well.

Finally. Do you need a credit card to start your free account or you can go free for a year and then put in a credit card?

Basically i want to know about the signup procedures. Any help would be cool. Thanks

What speed do you guys' DSL run at?
I find this thing is moving hella slow for what DSL should be running at.

The DSL was running faster when it was first installed a few months ago. However TSTT has now decided to cap the mofo speed. So in otherwords before i was getting 80-100k and now its about 50-60k, sometimes around 70 or so. Dem B@stards, if they advertise 128K we should at least be getting over 100.

Exar, tell them to dissable your Firewall. Just email them and give them expressed permission to do it, they will, they just need a written statement so they are not elligable for anything.

From what i learned the newer XBOX Lives are different in that they already have the updates from the older versions and they have different budles with them. This versioon has Mech Assault, the previous version had something else.

From what I've heard from XBL gamers, you NEED a credit card to get the free year of live even though you don't pay for it.

Well its not a hack. It allows system link online. LIVE is LIVE. You cyah fake that.
xbconnect.com and gamespy.com have servers or tunnels as they are called.

xboconnect.com is better in my opinion. Its free. The premium program with extra features etc etc is 15 dollaz and thats it.

Not nearly as good as LIVE though. You can only play system link games and the server lag is sometimes pretty bad

. But there is a plus. You can play HALO online

i use it, but i still gettin LIVE.
