Power
1. Machel Montano (Pump Yuh Flag)

3. Destra (Link Up)
4. Prophet Benjamin (Throw Wine) & Blaxx (Inside Ah Band)

Groovy
1. Machel Montano (Mr Fete)
2. Kerwin Du Bois (Bacchanalist)
3. Benjai (People's Champion)
4. Nadia Batson (No Pressure)
5. Kees Diffenthaller (Stress Away)

Machel had his anti-hate suit in full effect yesterday, taking first place in both Power and Groovy. Lihixxxxxxxxxx

Real strong performance by Kerwin Du Bois as well. Left to me, I'd have given him the nod since his song was more "groovy" than Machel's offering in that category. Machel himself called Mr. Fete a "hard groove" which hardly qualified imo.

Destra had me worried for a minute when she threw herself in the crowd yes. Didn't look like they caught her.

No love for Patrice Roberts at all this year. Poor thing.

Benjia had a wicked tune in People's Champion but his performance didn't sell it off on the night.

Strangely enough, Erphaan Alves came out swinging with "In your eyes". Flawless presentation imo and he did not even place. So go figure.

I only saw the Groovy performance and it was truly well presented. Almost similar to a Vegas show.

Machel was built for this game.

Imagine Machel have Anya Ayoung Chee and Brian Lara as his back up dancers for Soca Monarch yes. That is where the man reach.

hard lol @ machel gonna win next year without having to perform. The other competitors have to real up their game to dethrone him. Especially with the on stage antics.

That being said it's unfair to say machel doesn't deserve the props he gets, whether you like him or not, he IS the king of SOCA
