How i used it (for KI I had the speakers LOUD, but still picks up audio). You dont need to say "XBOX..." and wait for a prompt then say "...Go to Netflix"..... just say it plainly. Also im a bit far, thats against a projector on a 15 foot wall.

Xbox One Sells 2 Million Consoles Globally in 18 Days

Microsoft has announced it's sold over 2 million Xbox One consoles since its launch 18 days ago on November 22.

That's after releasing in 13 markets on that date, including North America, the UK and Australia. Proud owners of the new console have spent over 83 million hours in games, TV and apps on the console, unlocking 39 million achievements and 595 million Gamerscore.

It was also revealed that peak demand saw the console being ordered at over 1,000 units per minute from Amazon.

10 days ago on December 1, Sony announced it had sold over 2.1 million PS4s after launching a week earlier than Xbox One in North America on November 15, where it sold 1 million units in 24 hours. It went on to launch in Europe and Australia on November 29, picking up 700,000 sales by December 1 and becoming the UK's fastest-selling console of all time.


A key fact to take into account is the fact that the PS4 is available in 32 countries, which is 19 more than the 13 territories you can get an Xbox One.

Both consoles have had wildly successful launches, with the chances of both shipping 5 million by the end of March as EA predicted looking ever more likely.

Those sale estimates are fuzzy logic, always have been.

Messiaah, it really takes some technical know how to deal with the xbox and xbmc.

Wish it were dog easy. Still, for SD content, it works and that is decent enough.

Saves having to switch inputs for the less savvy family members.

However, since the xbox only has one hdmi in....what happens for your regular TV feed? Or is that you don't have cable otherwise?

I don't have cable/local content because I don't want it.

yes, but did you ever consider it for other people in the household? I don't want to be selfish and just pull the plug cold turkey on others. lol

Hoping someone implemented a solution that provides the best of both worlds.

Local content is free OTA, so that could fill the void nicely.

Most people I've spoken to haven't been able to bridge that gap though and just give up on local altogether.

I had cable before and nobody used it, waste of money, so why bother?
Local content have nothing for nobody in my circle loll. Cable have stuff, but it dont have anything that I dont already have or can't already get, or not on Netflix. I really dont see d point. And like I said, it was there for ah year and unused...., who have time to sit down through adds, watching shit quality and all that lol. It have HD stations, but still, cud get that elsewhere.

Also, I haven't watched TV since Saturday mor ing cartoon and sesame street when I was a kid. This generation of kid, have access to all that and more ondemand. D amount of kid series and shows my son does find on Netflix, and what not their, like yugioh , Pokémon etch, I just get elsewhere .

Yes, voice commands for in-app searching would be cool. Actually, voice commands for in-app anything would be cool. I'd love to say "Join Ranked Match" in killer instinct and just have it do it. Or if KI not even started, just say, "Xbox Goto Killer Instinct Ranked Match" We go see how the system develops over time, but hate performance of Kinect voice, there is tons of potential for that.
