Dragon Age Movie and Animated film

Not sure who else may have missed these two outings from the Dragon Age camp.
The first:
Dragon Age Redemption.
A movie set in the Dragon Age II timeline starring Felica Day of the Guild. It was originally a 6 part webseries, now stitched together as one for your viewing convenience.
http://dragonage.bioware.com/da2/feliciaday/
Has a fan made feel to it but still, decent enough to be worth your time if you're fond of the genre.
I give it 6 corrupted mages out of 10
The second offering is an animated film: Dragonage Dawn of the Seeker
This one is set after the events of Dragon Age 2 (which I have yet to play so I'm avoiding it until such time for fear of spoilers, lol)

I saw the anime one. The chick is a brutal fighter but the whole thing was "meh" imo. I give it a 6/10.

Did you play Dragon Age 1 and 2 Q?
I'm thinking (hoping with fingers and toes crossed, lol) that a fan of the material would rate it higher than that.

No I haven't play them, lol. I was judging solely from a movie-watcher standpoint.

Finished playing Dragon Age II (the game)
Promptly took in Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker (the Movie)
At the surface level, I'll agree with you Q....6 out of 10
However, when I lather on the knowledge from the game....it takes that score up a notch to a more substantial :"8 slaughtered blood mages out of 10"
Playing the game for 30+ hours really expands on the moral dilemma presented by the Chantry, Knight Templars and Mages.
Something the movie does not have enough time to develop adequately.
Understanding the back story these three entities as well as the role of the Seekers gives more momentum and punch to the movie.
They drop references to the incident at Kirkwall and such which only are explained in the game.
I can understand the 3d animation style they went with for this anime effort. It also brings the characters closer to their video game counterparts in look and movement. However, it made for a stiffness with the voice acting you're not accustomed seeing in film.
Hope its a commercial success though, would like to see another effort in a year or two. Preferably with technology that makes the 3d models speak even smoother, like their Pixar brethren.

Still need to play Dragon Age 2. Never gave it a chance when it came out when I heard it didn't live up to the (perfect, imo) original. Was so bitter lol. Will give it a go one of these days.

Be warned, Dragon Age 2 does not live up to the original. Would not recommend it at $59.99
However.....at a heavily discounted price....it becomes definitely worth the money.
Say US$10 - 20
Last I checked, Origin had it on sale for around that price. You can get it even cheaper on Amazon if you don't mind waiting for the disc version to be shipped to you.
(Strange that the disc is cheaper than a digital download, lol)
