Back when i was a wee lad my parents listened to The Beatles....what does that have to do with
Metal? Well Most New Wave of British Heavy Metal....T( Iron Maiden and Motörhead being the most popular) were influenced by Black Sabbath & Led Zeppelin who were influenced by the The Beatles.

So back to me

Growing up we listened to all kinds of music.....then there was Secondary school. I Heard Enter Sandman via cassette on a walkman.... I kept asking who was singing the "Excellent Song" (instead of Exit Light lyric)All my friends were like all MetallicA is excellent! (bill and Ted response)

And Thus Started my Metal journey and specifically my MetallicA Journey...(27 years ago).

Then was Megadeth (Mustain was in MetallicA before....)
Then Sepultura....Pantera....
Then Blacksabbath and Iron Maiden & Dio

Every body I knew were into the Glam Rock Scene.....(Poison....Bon Jovi)

Then came Grunge! (Nirvana, Pearl Jam)

Then I went very heavy....Carcass & Fear Factory..

I will always be a MetalHead because MetallicA is favourite band.....They are Fans as well and have introduced be to Thin Lizzy, Motörhead etc.

Take a BIG Metal up your @$$ and Listen to 'em all!

P.S. Bands like Creed, Limp Bizkit are overrated...

To this day Wes Borland is still considered a creative legend with the kinds of riffs he came up with.

For me, hard rock to metal and whatever in between.

Bands like Staind, Seether, Evanescence (hard rock), Nine inch nails, Celldweller (Industrial/electronic rock) and Megadeth and Metallica (metal) for example.

I find it more thought provoking than what is played on mainstream radio these days. Depends on my mood too eh one day I would be taking in Radiohead then the next could be Slipknot or Slayer. Was never a fan of Limp Bizkit, Creed slightly back in my early teens.

But no, everyone here does not listen to rock tho it seems there are quite a few of us.

*Also since the last post before Sesimie's was in 2003 this is technically a necropost but we letting it slide since it is still relevant in a way and healthy discussion taking place so no harm. Just be more careful with future posts

Rock, rap, old dance hall (not the new P-O-Sixx now) 80's, older Tony Bennett...Frank Sinatra, latin/reggaeton (since i could dance them ting now)

Basically once it is not PURE SHIXX i will listen to it.

meh.... that was a long time ago for me, too old for that $@%# now....

I like reggae, most of what I listen too is pretty old stuff...

Well let me put it this way. Last year I went to see "The Big 4". So this GATTer is pretty much an 80's metal guy.
