Also one non-working 22" Acer LCD, model AL2216W. Tried replacing the capacitors, but that did not work. It needs a new power supply board like this:

That power board is easier to replace than you think.

There's no soldering involved...the board just jacks in/out.

The hardest part is actually getting the back cover off.  I say keep the monitor and fix it yes.

^^Don't think so, can't even get it in the US, only the capacitors. Boards only available from Hong Kong AFAIK.
