Grand Theft Auto 5 has been confirmed. Rockstar's homepage is simply a logo for the game and a date for the first trailer: November 2. That's a week and a day from today, people.
Little is revealed by the graphic, although the "five" and "V" are obviously a reference to cash-money, the collection of which is a mainstay in the GTA world.
We don't have any official details on the game yet, but casting notices that appeared back in March may give some clues as to what kinds of characters we can expect in the game. We also speculated on where the game might be set. Personally, I'd love to see the game set in San Andreas, mostly because I want to rip apart a virtual Los Angeles in the game.
For the record: We don't have a release date, or release window, nor do we know what systems this will be for, but if I had to guess, I'd say the PS3 and the 360 are pretty likely.
So what do you guys think? Are you excited? Psyched for the trailer?

Having played all from GTA 3 up I feeling kinda old yes and Im not.

Time flies when you're having fun? O_o Well one more week for our first trailer and then we'll most likely have a 1 err.... I mean 2 year wait

hmmm, I'm thinking a mexican/latin theme from the graphic used. I personally would like to see it set in the asian underground.

It's about time. I've been waiting so long for another GTA game. I hope they do release a PC version at the same time as the 360/PS3 version.

Actually the graphic used seems like typical GTA style to me nothing to hint at where it's set.

Nah. The style of the "V" isn't typical. I think it has something to do with the setting. Some speculate Washington, but I dunno. Only time will tell.

Saying they not in a position to show any gameplay means we won't be seeing this till next year but these screens look great. I hope the rpg elements from San Andreas return other than that if this is really their biggest open world game as they claim, it will be the one to beat for years to come.

I was hoping by now we get more info about this but they really keeping things quiet. It looks like it's coming along great.

Hopefully Sleeping Dogs is good enough to help pass the time.
