Yeah HDD Setup is 2x 60 OCZ Vertex 2 SSD, 2x 1TB WD 7200RPM SATA.

Hmmm...interesting.  I'm guessing those drives are in RAID-0.

It seems like the benchmark leans more heavily in favour of SSD drives than I first thought.
Your score is significantly higher than shiv's rig, which is more powerful overall, but I don't
think he has a SSD system drive (correct me if I'm wrong shiv).

Yeah those SSD Drives really give a nice performance boost, they should be juicing out a little more tho not sure what's up with that. After updates i'll run it again.

Correct. I'm running ordinary 7200rpm Seagate HDDs in RAID 0.

+1. Those things are just full of win in the performance department. Beast performance indeed.

My HDD's are the only thing holding me back but i just can't justify spending that kind of money/GB...at least not the way I use my PC. I'll upgrade when i can get 1TB for around $500 USD, for now i'm happy waiting an a couple extra seconds for programs to start-up.

Ok so I was trying to figure out why my transcoding score was so low around 1200 while shivanandrs with a similar cpu had around 8000. Did some digging around and it turns out the AMD driver was set to do transcoding on the gpu which is either buggy with PCmark or does not do a good job as the sandybridge chips. I disabled it so the cpu is set to do the transcoding and reran. A significant boost in score annd my transcoding went up to where it should be around 8000.

The first ssd the ocz vertex 2 got a BSOD so that had to RMA, so i end up getting a SATA 3 from corsair at a really nice price. I don't think i could live without ssd speeds nah.
