I would say Sidious (Sifo Dyas)?? hello Sidious he could be the only one who would delete the data of the palnet Kamino nothing else it cant be Dooku cuz he was too busy creating the Speratists with the Trade Federations help. My bet is on Sidious. is the only way he gives the oder for the clone army hence the Stormtroopers in the original trilogy

the fact we completely went off topic we went from discussing who removed the files to the cloe troopers themselves. The Troopers reptuation was tarnished when they went from heroes of the Republic next to the Jedi to Pawns of Evil

I have the Dark Side Sourcebook btw.
Though I know nothing about how pen and paper RPGs are played and so would have to learn from scratch.

But anyway,it could not be Sidious.Very simply,Sidious is Palpatine in some way or another. And Palpatine has no access to the Jedi Archives.
Before you go yapping about him being Chancellor remember that the order for the Clone army was placed even before he was elected which means that the record of Kamino would have to be erased from before.

Even if we go with the EU events where Sidious takes Maul with him on a walk outside the Temple, cloaking them with his power, there's no way he can enter the library past that many Jedi and Jocasta Nu.

That's the complicated explanation. Here's the simple one. When asked if he ever knew a Sifo Dyas,Jango responds that he was hired for the clone job "by a man called Tyranus".Now who do we know was named Tyranus?Of course!Darth Tyranus who is Dooku. This shows Dooku's involvement in the plot therefore it is more than reasonable to assume that he erased the reference to Kamino before he left the Order since the reason he left would obviously be interwined with the Clone army and Separatist movement.

I too have the Darkside sourcebook as well as the basic rulebook for starting and the starship guide with ships in detail

but pen and paper may seem tedious so have an open mind, note my experience here is nill, perhaps we should find someone with the experience in D&D, but I do know that the game was meant to be a long term affair
but we could at least play around with the character creation and have one or two fantsy adventures, make them short and sweet

there are other sourcebooks including a new revised basic book with references to ep2 (original only up to ep1)
as well as a jedi sourcebook which should have some interesting stuff on the jedi order as well as campaign books for other factions in the SW universe and locations/major events
but some of the statistics/details are balanced/created/explained for gameplay..................

oh the armor of the clone troopers are not the same as stromtroopers, the designs are similar but the actual molds for each part is different, not just the helmets

btw, is anyone annoyed that ep1&2 have conflicts with the EU

Ive played D & D several times when i was away, and the Babylon 5 pen and paper game. Both similar. I never had to setup anything or organize a character but i know HOW the game is played, if i can rack my brains to remember way back when.

Of course it requires a certain amount of imagination. You need a dungeon master, or whatever you want to call it. Basically this person does not play a character in the game. This person gives the story as you play, tells you where you are, when you decide to doe something depending on the guidelines in the book you follow it has different outcomes.

THe dungeon Master is also responsible for rolling dice for the enemies encountered, drawing all the maps and creating the alignment for all the characters making sure no matter whom you choose you more or less start of with even abilities wiht a slight specialty in your specific character. Little figures are not necessary, basically they are just used to remind players where they are on a specific map.

Ill try to help as much as i can. You guys have the different types of dice? I think they introduced a new one the other day, i havent been keeping up but have always been looking forward to some nostalgia in d&d style gaming.

If you all want a capable dungeon master...why not check Touya?
He has served as a D&D DM for many years and still retains character sheets from 10yrs ago.

hmm, this might have some promise
if we could get the jedi sourcebook it would be better

but since we have the darkside sourcebook it could still go down good

imagine a jedi vs sith quest
or sith vs jedi quest
or just a sith lords quest :devflm:

what if there was a gatt online SWRPG?

Plot Points

The disappearing Jedi issue will be resolved in EP3. - GL

The Jedi who has been hiding Kamino from the Jedi will be revealed in Ep3. - GL

The character who ordered the clones was seen onscreen in Ep2. -PH

The Jedi who ordered the clone army will be revealed in Ep3. - GL

Ep3 will provide the answers the fans have been waiting for, but may also pose some new questions. - RM

The last ten minutes of the film will be "a dream come true" for all fans. - RM

The last 10 minutes of the film will definitely pull some emotions. -DG

The last 10 minutes of the film keeps with the traditional endings of Star Wars films, but since we know the futures of the characters and the locations we will see glimpses of, the ending will have more of an impact than usual. -PH

The "no disintegrations" line will not be explained in Ep3. -PH

The "force ghost" theory will be explained. -PH

We will not see any Jedi spirits in Ep3, but it will be explained why some Jedi have the ability to appear as spirits and others do not. -PH

We will not see the Jedi Trials in the film. -PH

There will not be any grand surprises but we will have a sense of familiarity with how the story of Ep3 unfolds. What surprises there are will revolve around the new locations, characters and elements that no one had predicted. For the prequels, the big surprise was when we learned in Ep1 that Darth Vader was once an innocent little kid. -PH

The Dagobah cave was explained in Ep5 and will not need further explanation in Ep3. -PH

In one specific case, a hero will disguise themselves to avoid their enemy. -PH

The Tusken Slaughter is mentioned in Ep3. -PH

Qui-Gon Jinn is not forgotten in Ep3, especially by those closest to him. -PH

Shmi Skywalker is mentioned in Ep3. -PH

Ep3 is pretty much Republic vs. Separatists, Jedi vs. Sith, with some cultural ambiguities, but no distinct factions of note. And the underworld (bounty hunters or Jabba's syndicate) does not factor into this story. -PH

Leia's recollections as described in Return of the Jedi have no inherent flaws and are valid given the greater context of the saga. But I suspect those looking for contradictions always find them. -PH

The reason why we do not see organizations like the Trade Federation, Commerce Guild, Techno Union etc. is because they are absorbed by the Empire by Ep4. That's a major reason as to how the Empire gets its vast war machine. Episode III will start that ball rolling, but it's not something that happens onscreen. -PH

By the end of Ep3 we will know why some Jedi disappear and others do not. -PH

We will not see any Jedi spirits in Ep3, but it will be explained why some Jedi have the ability to appear as spirits and others do not. -PH

Qui-Gon's actions and choices in TPM shape the events of the saga in such important ways, such as the developing Anakin/Obi-Wan dynamic. -PH

Not all the Jedi will be wiped out by the end of Ep3. Given that there are hundreds of Jedi, and we've not seen them all, it can't all happen within the span of a two-hour movie. There's almost two decades between III and IV where the bulk of this happens, so you won't see hundreds of Jedi get wiped out. But you do see the start of these events in a big way, and understand how it came to pass. -PH

We will not hear the entire prophecy in Ep3. -PH

yes that was "all too easy"

but I ain't for SW RPG online through messenger (I don't even use/have messenger)

I was thinking an online Gatt game/version if it is possible

if it is pen and paper, a few short rounds in person would be my preference

that means that I will have to get messenger or whatever

and how will the gamemaster get all the rules, people know all the rules?

perhaps everybody should get copies.............
