Wrong so far.
But perhaps it was all a case of the wrong choice of words here...
People, I said same DATE.
A date is INCLUSIVE of day, month AND year.
For example, when somebody asks for my DATE of birth, you give him the day, month and year, not so?
People, no offense, but THINK, nah man! Allyuh disappointing me. :?


All right, I'll break it down for you again:
Stan and Dan are brothers.
They were born on the same day, of the same month, of the same year [You happy now?  :-x ]
They were children of the same parents...SAME MOTHER, SAME FATHER
They live in the same household.
They look very much identical [alike].
But they are NOT twins. Why?


P.S.: Here's a hint: Time has nothing to do with the answer.

Non-identical twins are still twins none the less. That leaves the possibility of the multiple birth being more than two. Arriving at a specific answer is impossible if this is the case. It could be anything from triplets and up.

The reason that Stan and Dan are NOT twins is because:

THEY ARE TWO OF A SET OF TRIPLETS.

Hey, can't be a twin if you are one of three, right?  
Anyway, I've got a doozy of a riddle to pose to you all. This one really intends to be a lesson in the art of solving certain riddles.
Anyway, here goes:

Bob is sitting on a bench.
Bob and the bench are completely encased in a steel box.
They are completely surrounded by four steel walls, a steel ceiling and a steel floor [just to give you an idea that they're covered on all angles.]
There are NO doors, NO windows, NO visible portals leading to the outside world from within the box.
Bob has nothing on his possession other than the clothes on his back and the bench beneath him.
Bob manages to escape.
How did he escape?

This one will have you scratching your head for a while. I leave you now with two quotes, one from yours truly, and another from master sleuth himself, Sherlock Holmes.

Well the possible or logical  question is to ask you if the walls are sealed together in some way. I  mean they could just be laid there and  fitted. Just ruling out all possibilities. Nice riddle.

And you do raise a valid point, I didn't exactly say they were sealed together...but I think it's understood, as it won't make for a very good riddle if that was the answer. My bad....I was really supposed to mention that, but I couldn't find the right words. Ah well....

Oh, one more thing, people.
I just realise that if I post the answer to the riddle here on the forums, it's not going to make a lick of sense. The answer is a virtual 'play on words', and in order for you to really get this one, you'll have to ask me to tell you the answer. Sorry for that inconvenience, but you know what they say, 'Words travel fast'.

so, in order to find out which way to go to find eternal bliss or watever the hell you want, what question would you ask the statue? You may ask one question and one question only to only one statue.
