that's a great list, only thing i managed to own on that list was a geforce 2, good times..

But Nvidia's 8800 series was to me their most successful line of graphics cards... evar.. remember the 8800gt? That was the most popular card on GATT at a point in time.. I miss that card.

Always wanted a Radeon 3870x2. Had quite a few cards on that list as well.

The 4870x2 IS a beast but damn that thing used to pelt out heat.

Fixed   :awesome:

And yes one day i will boil a pot of water on it lol. Once u keep the fan up and in AC u good to go! lol

8800GT was phenomenal. Best pound for pound card in its time.

As was the TI 4200

Real value for money.

That list seem to lean towards the more powerful brethren of the day.

Not everyone in GATT had the bank roll to run with some of those bad boys.

Still, very impressive list and some serious nostalgia immc. I actually owned a 3dfx Voodoo 1. Paid like $1600TT for the card which was nearly the price for a used 120Y motor car back in the day. lol

+1 to you sir.

Whilst they did list some of the greats, I agree they left out quite a few. As has been mentioned, the Ti 4200, the 8800GT and 4850

I had a Voodoo 3 3500 (tv tuner and graphics card in one, think ATI AIW), Geforce 2, 6800, 8800. I also remember REALLY lusting after that Ti 4600 and the 9700 pro that followed it. Good times.

I am currently running number 14 on the list - ATI Radeon X1900 XTX. Worked great back then. Looking to upgrade now though.

Of that list...I've owned ONE.  The 4870X2, which turned out to be kind of a waste (bang-for-buck-wise).

Never again will I invest in those top-tier cards, when two mid-range can do the job just fine.

What about Eyefinity and CrossFire setup's?
Anyone here ever experienced these setups?

Is it really worth it?
