So for the 1 hour i played today, it was besssssssss!

On to other business.

Welcome to the newcomers to our Mumble server. There were quite a few new one and returning.

Next weeks' sweat! What say you?

We have choices of:

Team Fortress 2

Magicka

Starcraft 2

Grid

Any other suggestions can be made and put into the polls for future MWS. Will also give people a chance to obtain a copy of the respective games. Post suggestions and comments and lets make this bigger and better every time!

Because its still a very inclusive game in terms of numbers. If we can get a wider range of games to include even more people that'll be great but since TF2 is Free to Play then no one has a problem with gettin it. Unless u like NEO and dont have a PC to push it >.>... i guess battlefield play4free can find it's way there some time soon too

Whats the max # of players in Magicka? Star Craft II will be kinda limiting in terms of how many can play at once..a 4 vs 4 maybe, but thats still just 8 people, what if we have 10+ people? The TF2 sweat was nice, and there are servers for 24 and 32 people, so a much bigger sweat and more fun...I thoroughly enjoyed ripping Wyatt apart with that Heavy...LOL

magicka would be the most limited at four people per game i believe.

SCII 4v4 sweat wouldn't be bad and can run multiple games @ a time.

fps' will get the most numbers especially if they f2p so is all up to what we wanna do, max numbers every week or rotation of games

Well its 52 weeks in the year, so we'd soon run out of games to play! How about we do a 3 strikes and you're out rule.

If a game wins the vote three times in a row, it graduates to primetime weekend sweatage and is no longer eligible for MWS action?

Follows is a brisk review

The Team Fortress action started promptly at 8PM. Gamers made their way into mumble and Eagle_66 fired up a capture the flag match on his 25mb flow connection.

It was blazingly fast with  32ms pings. Only one problem, only people on flow could connect (a limitation of Team Fortress 2 when hosted on a non dedicated server)

We had a few foreign based players and guys on blink that wanted in on the action so Redlum promptly found us an international server. Stormed it and chaos ensued.

Round after round, red vs blue clashed in an attempt to hold ground and take enemy territory with a few rounds of payload (the escort mode) mixed in for good measure.

Takeaways

1) d2ultima, snowtiger, eagle and bloody should never be on the same team.

2) woody is an even better medic in team fortress than he is in battlefield

3) Mowing down enemies courtesy of redlum's ubercharge was a riot

4) The scout is TOO fast!

5) Misschievous should go to med school

6) Seeing "you've been killed by Aids" in game never gets old.

Or we could run 'multi-sweat' where if the limitation is # of available slots in a game, we run different titles for different groups. YES I want to try Magicka XD

Lol yeah the medic in this game can cause some serious chaos when ubercharge is unleashed. I can't remember who it was but a sneaky spy kept sabotaging us hehe. We dreaded the backstabs :S

lan server can only connect to local clients and i install teh dman thign just for the sweat

You didn't try to join on us after we connected to a US Dedicated server? I was getting that same message until we found a server we could all join on. :S

yea I tried again later but server was full....... but to be honest i rather cod or BC2 yes

I felt woefully inadequate in that sweat. It's been a long time but I enjoyed it and can't wait to do it again!

Yeah Preston, spoke about that in the sweat report....when Eagle hosted the server it would only allow "Lan" connections. That is, only people on the same network as him....namely Flow.

It was ridiculously fast for all of us on Flow (32ms ping) but anyone on TSTT or international ISPs couldn't connect.

We switched it after to a dedicated server that would allow all to jump in.

Still, I'd love to see the game run again on a dedicated server hosted on a Flow connection. That was nirvana.
