Hitman: Absolution
« on: May 10, 2011, 01:42:59 PM »

Quote
"For the first time we are taking Agent 47 on a personal journey which allows us to explore other parts of the Hitman fantasy," said Tore Blystad, game director, IO Interactive. "This is both a familiar and yet significantly different experience from other Hitman games; something our silent assassins will relish, as will all those new to the Hitman world."

Built using IO Interactive's Glacier 2 proprietary game engine, players can expect a cinematic story, distinctive art direction, and an original game design that combines Hitman's classic game mechanics with entirely new ones.

Hitman: Absolution will make its grand debut at E3 2011 next month for the Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3. Until then, keep your eyes peeled on the game's official website for fresh intel.

interesting.. the Hitman genre already is a unique one but this is one of those games where u need to see footage to conceptualize a possible new idea for the gameplay since it was already extremely dynamic which is what i like about this game. There are 10 different ways to kill someone or complete a given objective. They're gonna have to come really good to impress me with this one

About damn time for Agent 47 to make his return. Especially after the last game's ending.

Blood Money was pretty good imo. I tried so hard to get that silent assassin achievement.. never worked out, i played too much COD at the time i killed everything XD.. One stage was kinda hard to work around for me, the Mississippi wedding. I always ended up blowing something up lol. E3 looks promising this year.. for the most part

I used to play based on how I was feeling at the time lol. Some missions I used stealth, others I strapped on the kevlar and blasted my way through with the M4 and silver ballers x)

But the ending I found out by luck lol.

judging by the voice in that video from the chick at the end.. i think it's the girl that's always briefing him on missions etc. Same one who revived him at the end of blood money. can't remember her name tho

Hmm I think I played most of the games in the series, can't remember if I ever played any through to the end. I guess i'll have to watch the ending on utube before starting this one.

Hitman Absolution Gameplay

A little  gameplay. Notable additions are the cover system, free choice of movement and takedowns.

hmm.. im impressed with the hostage approach. Don't think that was ever part of the previous game play. What i do hope tho, is that the AI gets a little smarter but not too high end where u feel as if ur actually playing against other people, as interesting as that would be. The only noticeable difference i saw in blood money when it came to the AI on the harder difficulties was that it was jus slightly challenging to avoid being detected, and well, u lose stuff off the map which isnt even AI related per say.

I don't know if the AI was high in the other game But i remember being annoyed by guards getting suspicious of me even when i walked around with a disguise on.  usually lead me to just trying to find windows and using less agressive tactics, like setting traps.  Sometimes I just want to walk in and blast dudes in the head :D . Speaking of which cant wait for the OVERPOWERED ballers(sp) return.
