What version is it? Is it a modular PS? What you gonna use it for?
This here can give you an idea of what one should cost

I believe it's the first version(can't be positive). It's non-modular. Going to be using it for the specs in my sig. Checked the Power Supply Calculator and i'm well within range of the 600W. The seller is asking $575 "BNIB".

I'm assuming that is used? Doesn't sound terrible. Other peeps with more experience with OCZ power supplies feel free to jump in with the advice on that one.
I'm biased towards Cosair

It's supposed to be new. I want to be sure it's good value for money and can't get a "much better" PSU for "not much more" heh.
Don't plan on doing any overclocking or anything, most i might do this year is update GFX Card and or CPU.

Yeah @ tuner. I told the guy i would speak to him tomorrow, just thought i should get some quick advice here.
I'm actually getting a bit agitated cos i've been without my desktop for about 2 months and this seemed like a good deal (if it is new) as it covers my needs for a longer term (not very ambitious heh).
Any other suggestions are welcome of course.

i'd go for it, especially if you getting a 30 day or better warranty. you'd pay 300 for a PoS one, might as well take the gamble on the OCZ at sub 6.
ocz also owns PC power and cooling, and i believe they also OEM for alot of other brands (cooler master i think not sure)
PCP&C were/are behemoths in that part of the industry, their shit just works...and most of the time quite too...
It's ultimately your call, i'd go for it if i was desperate myself. hell i'd go for it if i just needed a PSU seems like an OK deal.

That OCZ is an investment. As long as it doesnt die, you would not have to change that out for years to come.

Take pics of it when you get it, and do a smell test too (just joking lol)
Hope it's a good one!

Got the PSU and it's up and running nicely.
I did smell it 'fish (bad habit) and it has that "new stuff" smell unless he has some "New Stuff" Aerosol cans it seems good. Haven't been able to run any games with it yet but everything seems in order.
So next order of business, do i lurk for a C2Q or overclock one of my C2Ds?
Plus i'm looking into a GTX 560 for end of the year. The eXtreme Power Supply Calculator says i can go for it.
Wish me luck and/or offer corrective advice.

More debating affordability and availability, i'm more interested in getting a better gfx card first.
