AMD 990FX chipset supports Nvidia SLI. Wait what??

Or rather the other way around. Nvidia's drivers now allow one to run sli on amd's latest and greatest. Couple that with the fact that there are 32 PCI-E lanes available for the 2 x16 slots, this is pretty impressive.

Only thing now is to see how those Zambezi cpu's perform against the next gen Intel. Given the competitive prices of the 990 boards and hopefully the cpu's, for my next upgrade, Intel performance has to be vastly superior to justify the high prices we've come to expect from them.

Nice! I guess now that Nvidia has its sight set on tablets and ultra mobile, they've loosened their anal sentiment that you NEED to use a nvidia chipset to use SLI. I mean with Intel they had NO choice but the cave or be left behind, not so much in the AMD camp until now! Finally the graphics platform is well... truly ubiquitous... Now we're BACK to just focusing on the other parts rather than "will I be able to do SLI... on this mobo"
