Installed it last night but haven't noticed anything worth mentioning. Not that I've actively looked around that hard.

There are no visible changes just under the hood stuff.

The 2 major changes are all virtualization related, so unless you running FireGL or virtual desktops, it's really nothing you're gonna be interested in.

hmm, let me test this out.

There is only one niggling issue with Win7.

Whenever I delete files in a folder, it sometimes gives an error that the files are currently in use.

(Even though they are not)

If they fix that....Windows 7 good to go for life.

That could be a glitch with your AV software.. or if it's files with thumbnails, like video or pics, the system could be checking inside them to determine what thumbnail to display

Agreed. I used to get that problem on XP and eventually figured out it was the thumbnail option that was causing the issue. Also read that other media apps could be causing the problem when Explorer is trying to feed them info on the file for the same thumbnail/preview options.

Also, to download the redistributable files from microsoft.com:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=c3202ce6-4056-4059-8a1b-3a9b77cdfdda&displaylang=en

You see the Microsoft genuine star icon which says that you must be running genuine Windows to get the files - it does a verification test before letting you click on Download.
