2010 was another great year in gaming. Franchises like Halo, God of War, Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, Super Mario, Need for Speed and Gran Turismo etc. brought some excellent entries this year that we all played and loved whilst innovations like Kinect, PS Move, Wii Motion Plus continue to push the boundaries of gaming.

This is GATT's 2010 Game of the Year Awards where we nominate and vote on what our community deems the best of the year.

This is how it will work:

Every poster is allowed to nominate any 3 games (that they played) of which they think should be awarded the GATT Game of the Year Title.
As you guys post I'll update the first post, with the nominations.

The top 5 will then be selected and added as a poll to the voting thread.
The voting will at that point begin!

Nominations End December 18th @ 12am (Next Saturday's Night)
The voting poll will be up on the 18th-19th

Rules:

1.) Each GATT member is allowed to reply a total of 3 nominations to this thread.

2.) The game must have been released within the year 2010.. (January 1st to December 9th)
If you don't know the date, still post and I'll verify the release, or you yourself can do the honors

3.) In all fairness, the nominees should have been played by the poster (to avoid biased votes for a particular title, Nominate what you played and loved).

The titles with the most nominations from GATT members for a specific platform will be the platform specific GOTY. eg.) If Halo: Reach receives the most nominations, it will be the Xbox 360 Game of the Year.
A game like Call of Duty: Black Ops which is multiplatform will be eligible for the Xbox 360 Game of the Year if it receives more nominations than an exclusive title.

To kick things off, my three nominations are:

Changed my nominee of Dead Rising 2 to Heavy Rain because the comments in the thread reminded me how much I enjoyed that game back in February.

Just to clarify
We doing console pc and cross platform goty
So nominate for each catagory

I nominate sc2 for pc

And mass effect 2 for xbox

Everyone is simply nominating up to 3 games, don't worry about specifically voting a certain title for a certian platform.
The nominees that have the highest quantity of nominations will win their platform specific titles. eg.) Starcraft 2 getting the highest nominations out of all the nominated PC games will give it GOTY.
The top 5 highest nominations regardless of platform will be set in for overall GOTY.

lol 2 of the other games that i love for 2k10 aren't on this list. I would have included Black Ops but the bugs turned me off a teeny bit and i don't like the single player as much as Modern Warfare 2 or even Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare...
