The Max Shooter is pretty poor at translating KB&M on the xbox. Even worse than it's predecessor and I'm not lowering myself to using an "aim assist" required xbox controller for playing FPS games.

As much as I love Halo.

Might try the campaign over the holidays with Max Shooter though.

As soon as BOPS is playable on my rig i'll be there Capn, with Red fear not... but (again one reason I game on the console), I have a fairly decent rig and BOPS runs like RUBBISH on it... my 4870X2 languishing in low utilization and meh cpu higher (not even maxed) and I can't run it with a proper 60FPS??? I mean really? you serious? I getting a lil sumptin for xmas so maybe after that it will run properly... and that's not even taking into account 'external' factors like TSh1TT lagging etc...

w1n boy, it have real men experiencing stuttering with ridiculous specs. So it is not related to the computer itself.

Something to do with the game.

There are fixes around though.

What worked for me, was closing everything. Every non critical application, browser, mp3 player, etc.....

Some say running steam in low priority fixes it for them.

Others say cranking up the graphics (AA and Filtering) takes the load of the CPU and puts it on the vid card.

Might be worth a shot.

Sound more like excuses dan anyting dred...if is not havin to wait for a better doohicky to connect yuh kb&m, is some ish bout not wanting to lower yuhself to using ah controller. Plain talk bad manners, yuh lackin skill if yuh cyah pick up a controller and still pwn n00bs. First time I pick up a controller to play Halo 2 on Xbox here at school, yeah I had to get used to it (strafe wit one thumb and look around wit d other...say whaaaa?!?), buh ah still put some youts in dey place...I dare say I could do d same if I went over to a PS3, or a Wii, or whaeva. Even when d fellas in d office does mess wit meh profile and turn on look inversion to handicap meh...still level busshead sharin. Yuh jes adapt to suit...cyah run an cry jus cuz yuh eh used to it.

I run up in de sweat tonight and it was aight, the overall experience is FAR inferior than on the Xbox, it's jerky, laggy, the program is prone to FAIL, I can't alt tab out... lots of stuff still broken. Even so I fought through and did decent enough. Had a positive KDR most of the night save the last 2 games, which was clearly an indication to switch to the 'superior' experience XD

lol, czar boy if I had the time I would have taken the bait to try playing with that craptroller but hours limited on this side of the planet.

w1ntry might coax me into trying blackops on the 360 to see how the other side lives.

Must say, after spending a few hours on blackops tonight, you get the feeling like they just neglecting the PC side of things. (we all know why) but its really a dismal feeling, to see such a glorious platform treated like a third class citizen.

Features purposefully removed, neutered, made awkward, all in an attempt to curb and control piracy.

breaks my heart.

I don't know if to get angry or to concede. Picket or Pack up.

If this is the future, I am fearful for our beloved PC platform. (At least as far as FPS games go)

All the more reason that devices like the XIM360 and XIM3 are so important. If we have to exist in the world of the console peons, at least let us take our superior weapons with us. Keyboard and Mouse in alyuh mc.

LMAO, as with many things, the 'old' generation has to clear the way for the 'new'. PC gaming (as far as FPS goes) days are numbered, so why not drown your sorrows in what the 'next' gen of gamers have to offer, a unified platform with standard architecture that allows you the gamer to focus on ONE THING: your gaming experience. No need to worry about hardware, software updates, drivers, etc. Just power and SUHWEAT!!!!

Bring your 'superior' weapons to the next 'royal' platform for FPS, leave the 'peon FPS is K&M on a PC' retort where it belongs, in the past next to Good Sesame Street, the original transformers and arubix cubes...
