Following it pretty closely over here via Engadget. Names usually not associated with phones (Asus, Panasonic, Fujitsu) are also making entries of interesting looking devices, namely that Panasonic Eluga Power which is in danger of replacing the One-X as my go-to phone. Specs include...

Quote
ICS on a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU. The 9.6mm thick device includes a 1,800mAh battery that can reportedly quick-charge to 50 percent in half an hour. It's packing NFC, an 8-megapixel camera as well as an unspecified front-facer for video calls, 8GB storage and a microSD slot -- giving you up to 32GB expandable storage.

That new Snapdragon S4 (Krait) is looking like a beast with Nvidia making their very attractive offering in the form of the Tegra 3.

Very, very interesting indeed.

Thanks to an app called BetterBatteryStats I was able to identify which apps were keeping the phone awake while idle.

How's this for battery life...

I had to actually stop using MSN Talk Pro, as it would provide a constant wakelock, and also
keep wi-fi on, which contributed to some serious battery drain.  I'll be using eBuddy from now
on, which doesn't do this.

Also, changing the 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep' setting to 'Only when plugged in' definitely helped.
Once the screen comes back on, wi-fi would automatically reconnect.

I can't believe those two simple actions would have yielded so much more runtime.

BetterBatteryStats FTW.  It's so good, I ended up purchasing it.  No android user should be without this app.

Wifi really does drain battery fast. I like to leave my wifi on when home though. I use an app called llama to disable wifi once I leave home based on cell tower id.

llama eh... I'll have to check that one out.

If I disable wi-fi though, I may not detect when there's an open network somewhere.
