Running 4.3 leaked version on meh Nexus 4. I said gaddamn, I thought 4.2.2 was fast but this just take the thing to another level. Some nice subtle interface tweaks, not a major departure from 4.2.2 on the cosmetic side. Most changes seem to have been made under the hood. Sign of good things to come.

The update is supposed to be officially unveiled on Wednesday along with a new Nexus 7 tablet. Needless to say i'll be glued to the livestream as it happens on the day!!

So the 1020 have a bess camera and less 'lag'.

Is that it?

Yes, is that.

So for men who entrenched in android, obviously it don't make sense. UNLESS! you're really into photos and don't want to lob around a point and shoot.

For the men who happy with Windows Phone (Me), is just incensing on the cake.

And lag is a big issues for me, I hate it. Man in work get ah Galaxy Note 2, picked it up start using it, ah say ah boy, they finally fix that lag issue, (The home screen UI was very fluid), opened up Website and start to browse, and what was waiting on me? The android lag. Cant deal with that.

And as the video point out, specs don't really matter on WP, it still runs circles around android.
So is basically down to features/apps/camera.

I happy with wp features / apps. So i'll take my 41MP Super Camera to go please. :laughing7:

I will admit though, there is one thing android has that u want, 1080p displays.
And if Nokia was allowed to, there would be a 1080p display in this phone. But that's MS being gay.
when GDR3 release later this year, we'll get support for quad(not needed) and 1080p.

Was watching it yesterday and thought the same thing as Arc. All I seein' is a boring phone with a bess camera. But I guess it's true that taste really varies from person to person.

Yup it does, needless to say, as it pop up on clove, is insta buy for me.
I'll say this though, Having owned a 920 and seeing the awesomeness that is the 1020, if d day ever comes that Nokia Switches to android. I'll be switching with them.

But I don't see that happening.

lol, well Awesome says Android is getting even smoother with the next update. So the lag issue (though I don't really notice any lag on my galaxy note 2 per se) will be gone.

Especially coming from a BlackBerry....the browser on the Nexus and now Note 2 was nothing short of a dream.

Woody has a windows phone nowadays, I'll try and get him to give me a handson with it to compare side by side.

But fellas, the point about Nokia "gettin on bad" with their camera for us android lovers is this. They will force Samsung and other mobile manufacturers to step up their game. That can only mean better cameras for Galaxy Note 3, S5, etc...

Kudos to them for that.

Wyatt, Android men has been promising "smooth" since android come out, and yes I admit every subsequent version did get "better", but the android lag is still very much there. And until I see it totally eradicated, I not taking nobody word for it. Project butter suppose to fix it too, it didn't.

And to Nokia, yes, they will force OEMs to do better, but the question is......can they?
And if they cant, would they even try?

The 41mp tech has been on the market for a year, and the competition didn't come remotely close to it.
It took Nokia to outdo themselves with a better badder 41mp to beat the original 808. Pureview 1 + Pureview 2

When Nokia released the n8 and n95, those phones still to this day considered some of the best camera phones ever made, and the competition only just surpass them thing.

If they brute force the issue, they can compete (Galaxy Zoom/Camera), but the wonder of the 1020 is....its in something you can actually use as a phone. And I ent see d competition catching them any time soon. And like the n95/n8, by the time the competition figures it out.....nokia go wine on they face again. With another hallmark in smartphone imaging. Android only hope for industry leading mobile photography, is if Nokia goes android.
A distant 2nd place is as good as it will get otherwise.

GG no Re.

Samsung try a ting with that S4 zoom. To me it looks "slapped together" and not on the level of polish that Nokia has managed to achieve with its hardware.

YES @ somebody on the Android side of things getting it right camera wise. I suspect it wont take too long again. Personally, I have very little interest in a "bess camera" on a phone or otherwise. As long as my camera could take quick pics that are of average quality, that's good enough for me...

And please, dont be fooled by this silly obsession over 1080p res on phones. The screen of the average phone is simply too small to appreciate 720p vs 1080p. Its just a placebo effect. And yes, I've compared the two in person...

What can I say about Android 4.3...it just took a great OS and made it even better. omg, the fluidity I would say is either on par or better than WP. Very well done google.
