yea the first thing i do when i get it is to check for updates...

i know i have one to run, but that is a fairly new one released this month or something...

everything is vanilla.... typical apps installed... no significant settings tweaks... default wallpaper everyhing... so idk

the common demonitor accross all the android devices i've used doh... is they have an exchange mail account configured....

i wonder if that's what causes the mail app to crash so much with us...

do you have exchange mail configured?

That's strange, i haven't encountered any of those problems with my tablet. Very stable, Asus Transformer Prime.

Good point out though, definitely don't have Exchange hooked up to that only Gmail and Hotmail.

Once it froze while browsing a site, but that's because the site was horrible, it also crashed my browser on my desktop twice.

I feel Digicel buying seconds for the third world market. I never experience that kinna crashing on a tablet...

Even self, remember that Samsung tablets run touchwiz which includes Samsung made apps for Exchange email handling. For the best tablet experience you need a Nexus device, pure google goodness.

For me, same applies to phones.

Well I can't rush to Android's defense here. Definitely had more crashes on my droid than all of my previous phones combined.

I never knew a "keyboard" could crash. lol

Still love droid. It is a techie's dream but definitely not something I'd feel comfortable putting in the hands of the CEO of a Fortune 500 company just yet.

Feels like Windows 98 all over again. And this with a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Stock, pure unadulterated.

I for one still wouldn't condemn the OS like you did MessiaaH. OK, it has some serious issues with exchange accounts and the overall stability isn't on par with iOS, but the positives of the operating system out ways the negatives by far IMO. Definitely won't call it a 'mess' OS.

It seems like everyone's experiences differ from device to device cause I for one haven't had any major problems or crashes since getting my S3. But then again, I haven't had it too long.

There are certain things that outweight the negatives in technology. For instance, the fluidity, stability, and strong MS and Facebook integration and the workflow of wp8 far outweighs they lack of apps for and customization for me.

But i simply cannot use a product that does not work, it could be how epic it want, if shit crashing and d device has stability issues i simply cannot rely on it for my daily driver. Is like the IOS Maps fiasco, men could not rely on it at all. I like things to be stable and working, d crashing scene not me. I had enough of those days in Me, and Vista.

If i drag out my phone to responde to a crtical email, i expect it to be sent imedately, and not looking to see if d app crash, or if d mail really send, etc etc.

For my use case, android is a hot pack of mess, until they get it stable, and fluid.

Stability and Speed, is that too much to ask for? all d brilliant minds behind android cant get that simple thing right? For all d epic sauce that is android man cant just make d thing properly? D vickey vai jerry rig thing is what cuase anrdoid to be how it is, and now they have to spend years trying to fix it.

From day 1 WP and IOS was stable.

Well we can't just wipe Android's issues below the rug.

I remember a time the kids were doing something cute, pulled out my phone to snap it....boom, "Sorry, Camera has crashed"

Got the message about three times. Had to reboot the phone and by that time, the moment was gone.

Hopefully Android 5 will lay these issues to rest.
