That looks amazing.  Do want.

I bought Swiftkey 3 late last month as it was on sale >_< ...

I almost immediately regretted it as i could have probably been satisfied with a random keyboard, but i was enjoying the swiftkey experience.

Now i'm pissed again

Money Tab is on sale. 99 cents.

This simple, yet powerful budgeting application let's you record all your daily financial transactions under multiple accounts and different income and expense categories. Choose an account and category, enter the amount and hit save. I was looking for that Swype experience that i had on my Galaxy Mini, Touchpal v5 has something close, but it didn't quite cut it, so i went with Swiftkey. Now Swiftkey Flow is on the horizon and if i had known i would have waited on that. If i get a free upgrade (like they did with SK users who recently bought it just before SK3 came out) then i'll be all chipper again.

^looks cool. but i must agree with most of the comments made. the learning curve will more than likely prevent me from using it.

very slick. not as slick as swipe though.

on a 7inch and greater device the full qwerty keyboard is fast enough. not sure there is need for innovation here

like you rightfully said, that learning curve is a deal breaker.

Trading of the SwiftKey flow ribs so it's a good as sweeps. It sell Definitely take some getting used to buy the other features of SwiftKey are still there.

Testing out the SwiftKey flow but it's still not as good as swype. It will definitely take some getting used to but the other features of SwiftKey are still there.

Paragraphs with and without using the flow. They still retain the limited amount of corrections though which Samsung did much better.

Well I have it installed and it seems to be working very well. Just have to be careful with the slides. Overall a decent beta version. Will be using it as my main keyboard.

When I was using cyanogen roms I  bought swiftkey as well but haven't used it I'm skeptical about data capture (might be paranoia) so I stick with the OEM keyboard ... Plus the OEM HTC keyboards are pretty good and have swype built in... But in the little time that I've used it it was pretty good compared to the stock android kb

Snapseed for Android available now, price drop from $4.99 to FREE
« Reply #1355 on: December 06, 2012, 03:10:10 PM »
http://www.theverge.com/2012/12/6/3733128/snapseed-for-android-ios-goes-free

Get it here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.niksoftware.snapseed

Back in September, The Verge was the first to report that Google had acquired Nik Software, the German startup behind Snapseed, a photo editing app that won Apple's App of the Year in 2011. Today we're seeing the first benefits of this takeover with Google announing that it is releasing Snapseed for Android and cutting the price of the iOS version from $4.99 to free. The Android version has significant integration with Google+, allowing users to tag other Google+ members and share to Circles and Communities, Google+'s new groups product.

This is not a head-to-head battle with Instagram. Google's strategy here is to go after the photo geeks, the prosumers, the folks who resent how 90 percent of images now have the same retro filter. "It’s not like Instagram with one click filters," says Josh Haftel, a 12-year-veteran of Nik Software now working out of Google's Mountain View HQ as a product manager on Snapseed. "You’re not in and out in 5 seconds. You do more customization, from color saturation to light leaks."

Just a comment on the pricing. It has been said by industry pundits that apps sell for more money on Apple's side of the fence than Google's.

The Android eco system thrives on free or damn near close to it.

Looks like Google embraces that fact by their reduction from $4.99 to free.

Great for them to promote their platform but not so great for app developers looking to make a living.

Stumbled on this neat little add-on extension for chrome /android users called Chrome to Phone.  https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-chrome-to-phone-ex/oadboiipflhobonjjffjbfekfjcgkhco  "This extension adds a button to Chrome that lets you seamlessly pushes links, maps, and currently selected text and phone numbers to your Android device."  Installed very easy and works like a charm. I see the use for this if you want to send your links for reference while on-the-go away from office or home. Very neat.
