fellow Gatters I need some gaza help!
lets say you're courting this girl and she went away for a bit. Now you're trying to keep in touch still but you're busy. I mean after all you have your job and life. Now you send the girl some emails and she "takes long to respond" Now you don't show negative disposition (at least not to a point) because you assume she too is busy. However when she finally writes you back and You're busy, she takes offense as if you're ignoring her or giving her the cold shoulder. Pardon my French but what the f*** is really up with that s***? I initially thought I did something wrong but I think it can be a case of mis-communication.
I don't have a godd***ed clue. I'm trying not to get stressed off of girls again but Jesus Christ I see now why Adam got his a** thrown out of the Garden of Eden
I dunno what ta do. I mean I'm now trying to message her or call her and you get either the lovely sound of the dial tone or you get the sweet sound of silence...I dunno what to do anymore. It's so weird to...the girl is online right now but because I fear rejection like a baskeball in the 1996 Sonics vs Bulls game I'm staying on invisible.

As simple as this advice is going to sound and as hard as it is to actually implement, dude, there are MANY, MANY, MANY fish in the sea. Don't sell yourself short and don't put up with something/one unless they worth it. That being said, determining if something/one is worth it takes YEARS imho. So if is a small pips and she stressing yuh, imagine if it was a relationship going on for years! how much yuh go have to multiply that stress by....

When yuh catch a small fish that too small to eat, yuh throw it back, if yuh catching yuh tail to catch a fish, sometimes yuh hadda give up and let it go, even so yuh will continue to fish till yuh catch what yuh looking for or yuh find a new pond to fish in XD

Generally, long distance doesn't work and going back to point 1, there is no need to do it since there is plenty of fish in the sea.

You can agree to remain good friends and keep your options open until they're back. (assuming its a long stint abroad, like a year+)

Ah yes this post I can definitely relate to, a little bit of my background, did long distance for 7 years. Yeah yeah OMG....WTF...lol. We started off in secondary school, went through the highs and lows of long distance and now 10 years later are getting married. Very few people can handle long distance, I can tell you that much.

Over the years we've met many a couple planning on doing the long distance, most end within a few months. From reading your initial post Red, I think you have answered your own question. Long distance requires a balance of both good communication but also enough space for the other person to breathe. In this case she clearly is busy with other things, whether it be work, liming, class etc.

I'd recommend just being friends and live it up. Believe me in my case, I knew she was worth it, otherwise I woulda move on long time :p Damn I feel old.......

first, decide the type of fish you want to catch.

once you've got that info sorted, you'll know where to throw your line.

If is sardine, well is ocean you have to hit.

If is fresh water salmon, river iymc.

Looking for talapia. The nearest damn.

Wabine, find a ravine or big canal.

And you could always get endless 7 color in a drain.

let's say you worked with a woman for lets say 2 years and you developed a cool relationship with her. Now you and the person left and got separate jobs. Now you still keep in touch with this woman (who by the way is in her early forties while You would be 25-ish) and you promise to make a move on this woman.. how would one acheive such a task.. I mean the age difference is the intimidating factor is this operation. and this is seriousness eh
