Since you were part of the beta, what's your first hand review of this newcomer to the world or MMORPG?

Well for one I loved the customization options, (can't really compare to others since Im not an mmorpg player)

for one the costume selection was pretty robust, from stone formation skin, to creating a character almost identical to superman, u could spend literal hours creating the look of your character. (hell one person created a flickin sith lord! with horns, tk powers and a sword similar to a lightsaber! that looked freaking epic!)

Then there is the choice of mentor. This affects, your style of fighting (super speed, strength, flight, gadgets etc) and your moral disposition more or less. Havent noticed the much choice in the type of quests etc and I didn't create any villians. my two characters were a male superman clone with mental abilities (telekenetic blasts etc) and a female speedster with immolation and fire blasts. (ten times more fun to play btw)

As far as visuals go, I didn't expect it to be jaw droppingly great, but I could safely say I have no complaints whatsoever, the speed trails on, the power effects, and the characters all look pretty decent and their is a decent 'shine' or bloom, that give the characters a plus in their appearance.

Combat is a mixed bag, but the combos and special abilities seem to get pretty dam epic later on, took part in a some pvp war of the ring scenario and saw what higher level characters could do, (why are there so many dam high level villians!!!).
From calling down meteors, to people freezing people in a ball and throwing them, I gotta say I was pleasantly impressed.
But from what I dabbled in, I personally cant say much for my characters since I only got  level 7 and 10 characters, barely got a chance to really try the real meat of the combat.

the actual quests at beginner levels were pretty grinding though, attack this, blow up that, it didn't inspire me too much and the voice acting in some parts were grating on my ears. that part is BAD. really that needs work.

All in all cosmetically its impressive, and I wouldn't mind giving it a shot for like a 3 months or so, to see how it fares, but first impressions show it as a bit simplistic.

One last gripe is the camera angles. sometimes as my speedster character, the camera would not follow the character correctly and combat would be come confusing. Its not game breaking but it could be very annoying. On the other hand, controls for combat and interface were decent. (on PS3 btw)

enjoyed it thoroughly, simple grinding fun, and I think with a league (this has leagues not guilds) it could be immense.

Blu_Vice playing an mmo? Wait while I move my things into a bomb shelter.

done

This game looking decent. The concept is brilliant but I'm mmo agnostic. These things just suck too much of your life away, could barely find time for real world pursuits. (Had to run from WoW kicking and screaming) lol

Wouldn't mind taking a little touch to at least get the experience though. Lemme know whenever they have a 2 day weekend pass or something.

The cinematic was one of the better intros for a game I've ever seen too. +1 too 'em.

Real shame the game isn't cross platform. On another note, If this succeeds on the PS3, that would be a massive signal for future MMOs to hit the consoles as well. Effectively unshackling a traditional PC stronghold. W1ntry's been saying that for ages.

Strange, I can't find any reviews online though. Only previews down the line. Hasn't the game been out for a few days already?

is more like dem action rpgs like d xmen games from ps2 an ting

that and would have a padna pickin it up and we making our characters after some fav anime characters so yea das win right dey

currently have a hero on the PVE justice server (could still do pvp on these servers too which nice)
waiting till padna get his copy then would more characters for PVP both hero and villian

I really really wanted to get into this game but having been sucked into another MMO (Guild Wars), I simply do not want to commit to another. These games are amazing and addictive but not another one. Guild Wars 2 is the only other MMO that will get my time.

I know I rel missing out on this one. Hope all of you guys that get it enjoy it.
Be sure to share the stories and screenshots of your characters in awesome armor and stuff :P

I read that its not cross platform. (think I mentioned that earlier in the thread). So no, you won't be able to play with PC peeps if you are on the PS3 version.

Mengsk, which version you got?
