Honestly Street Fighter vs Tekken... really, come nah man, sorry to sound so but I cant see dis being de meat in my fighter lineup, and people SSF4 is not unnecessary, to say dat about it is to admit you dont really play it or yuh does get yuh ass wash on a regular basis.

Yep good thing you saved that $40 to spend 18 months - 2 years from now.

Hey...money saved is just that... especially when there are many of us who consider the existence of SSF4 totally unnecessary.

...but somehow, I knew you  would be the one to say that.

I can see why you guys would think the game is unnecessary because lets face it you guys really don't understand/play the game all that well, so buying the upgrade is would do very little for you regardless. If you're buying a fighting game to play single player or can't handle the vs heat then don't buy it.

But don't justify not buying a game with a thriving community now by talking about buying a game (in the same genre, on the same engine) thats not coming out for at least 18 months.  It's pretty stupid. You'll be making the same complaints when the upgrade version of that game comes out 3 years from now and sound just as asinine.

Whoa...simma down bro...no need to get nasty.  Just expressing an opinion, but what Redfish stated does lend some credence to my statement.
The mere idea that he would say what he did indicates that there are some who are thinking along those same lines, and I totally agree.

In my opinion, 'not understanding/playing well' has nothing to do with it.  Not everyone is this 'ultra-l33t' player that you seem to consider yourself
to be.  I play for fun...I don't have the time to devote to fighting games to 'play well'.  Its funny that you would say 'don't buy it', because thats exacly
what I did.  :)

Your attitude though, is exactly the reason why Capcom decided to release SSF4 as a separate entity, and 'eat a food' (again).  Did I knock you for buying it?  No.
Street Fighter is probably more important to you than it is to me, so while I may not agree, I certainly won't go so far as to call you 'asinine'.

...and when I try to 'justify' not buying something...I do it for me, and my pocket...not for you.  Its free country.  You do what pleases you.

That is all.

I wasn't being nasty I was being realistic tough luck if you found that to be nasty.

The my money, my choice thing. I agree with that wholeheartedly but it's also a nice way to get yourself out of a debate without saying much.

Your penchant for bashing games that don't suit your taste really doesn't go well with that. What exactly made SSF4 an unnecessary upgrade since you said several people found it to be so ? You've never really said why and I don't really expect you to at this point.

LOL @ me ultra-1337, I've never considered myself as such and I don't think I've stated that anywhere, I don't even play unless someone asks (Damn that Tropico), I survive solely on fundamentals from older games because honestly I don't have the time to "train".  I think you took that one whooping way too seriously.

We can agree to disagree at this point.

'Not saying much'?  Really?  My opinions of the whole SSF4 thing are well documented in the SF4 thread.

I never 'bashed' the game itself, only Capcom's decision-making...but I can let that go now, because as Eroo said,
all is right.  The balance of yin and yang has now been restored. :sunny:

...and I'm a very casual player, so I expect to lose more matches than I win...so I don't take the 'whooping' too seriously.
Stilll...getting beat by a superior foe is the only way to step your game up...and I'm totally OK with that.  My pride  however,
is a totally different discussion. :laughing7:

lol, agreed @ eroo

who can argue when gaming mana from heaven abounds?

Count ourselves lucky for being alive to witness these blessings

I get what Arc is saying, SSF4 seemed unnecessary, it was clearly a strategy to milk more $$ from fighting game aficionados. Nothing we're unaccustomed too (12 incremental street fighter versions later).

The pain wasn't as bad when you weren't paying US$40.00 for each and surely not in such a short space of time. I bought SF4 twice (one for PC, one for PS3 within months of each other). Throwing out additional $$ for SSF4 (content that I think should have made the first cut) hurts.

Evenso, would have still sprung for it on PC, because I'm a huge fan of the franchise and don't mind fueling capcom's profit margin once they keep producing street fighter games. lol

Unfortunately, pirates put an end to that. No PC release date as yet for SSF4, steups. It remains firmly on the wish / christmas / birthday / father's day list.

Say what, we still got enough gaming goodness to last a decade yes. So not complaining.

Haven't even played through 10% of the games I own, not to mention those still to acquire (and no arc, not that kinda "acquisition" lol)

forget when the game coming out,

I done get my money's worth with that trailer and gameplay footage alone, lol. As crixx would say.....BAWWWWWW!

The only thing that would have made it better, was Ryu vs Jin.

debating not buying SSF4 a few months back because something like this would eventually come is about as effective as saying "i not buying Fifa 11 cuz Fifa 14 gonna be real hard."

...which is why I have never bought a FIFA game.

For all you Jinboys out there...admittedly, Jin/Ryu is a better matchup, given that they have their darker counterparts. Kazuya is still the daddy though lol.

Full article:

3D Ryu looks a bit malnourished, but I think that's probably because the Tekken universe has developed Super steroids or something.
