Its interesting like this, I play on both and moreover I've played a particular title they spoke about Gears of War on both the PC and the Xbox. Messiahhh and dem men sweat DSpartan (who is a BOSS on the Xbox) and they had to hand the man his hat as he's GOOD, he's really GOOD even though he's playing GOW on a PC using an Xbox controller. I mysef played GOW on the PC using K&M and yes the skill level apparent went up, there was a particular night I ABUSED dem men, but I digress. It's not a fair comparison though as I USED to sweat on the PC.
I question the supposed 'best' console men that were used and 'mediocre' PC men. And EVEN if there was a wash by a small controlled group I think they should extend the program to a much wider game base (note my fighters, racers, etc comment above) and rethink it. I think a console vs PC world would EPIC win.
And simple, if you don't want to sweat against console men and yuh on the PC there is an checkbox for it, if yuh on de console and searching random games and doh want PC men in yuh sweat a search option like in MW2. It's simple.

Getting lix is NOT an excuse to have shut down this program, EPIC FAIL MS, EPIC FAIL

@ the whole console vs pc.. maybe it was just a lame excuse for M$ to justify not developing it.
ur point holds true with all other genres doh... as pc men also typically play with controllers on those types as well (races, fighters etc)

yeah i do believe this is true overall that pc gamers would kicked 360 gamers ass, but funny enough tho in shadow run it was actually the reverse, as console gamers use to beat pc gamers pretty badly since if u played the game on console u had a very strong implementation of auto aim assist and on pc it was manual aim, so the game was kinda unbalanced to begin with i guess, but how else would the console gamers stand a chance   =/

i have a pc and ps3.. but i wont be getting any non-exclusive fps on the ps3 and then hadda spend $$ on a fragFX (which i hear aint so hot up).. just to play it... when i could just run multi on my pc

Keyboard and Mouse > Gamepad for FPS games.

Sure there are elite gamers who would beat you with an Atari 2600 joystick but they are the exception, not the rule.

By far and large, the average gamer on a gamepad is at a disadvantage when facing a cohort armed with those trusty PC peripherals.

Its unfortunate, because it would be great for Windows Live and XBOX live to merge. Agreed, nothing should stop that for happening for fighting games like Street Fighter 4. Though I suppose they by themselves probably aren't worth the effort for MS when compared to the millions of gamers playing FPS (Gow, Halo, CoD, Battlefield, etc...)

Also, it prevents multiple sales from a single household. People like me, who would buy SF4 on PC and on PS3 and ppl like Arc, who would buy Battlefield on PC and 360.

I don't think its a move that will make 'em more money to be honest and that maybe the bottom line here.

oh and blu_vice, I've got a keyboard mouse adapter for the original xbox and for the xbox 360. I can tell you, while it levels the playing field somewhat, its not a wide gap as it would be if you brought your console controller to the PC party. Why? Two words...aim assist.

I not about to pay not set a EXTRA money for some specialised solution, when I have superior
peripherals already.

In one fell swoop of code...MS could update Xbox Live and the Xbox 360 firmware to include native support
for mice/keyboards OF THEIR OWN MAKING...like the Sidewinder series.  For the life of me I CANNOT see how
that would not be a win/win situation...for them, and for us.  They've done it before to include support for
some stupid guitar game controller, so I KNOW its possible.

casual gamers have voted with their dollars and embraced the platform as is....the only other direction I Can see MS / Sony going is towards the wii type input devices, since that has gained tremendous market share. We all know how that story ended.

game full of AA and u hadda unlock "hardcore" mode to take it off

also pheonix the fragfx is good
berserk played it on the wrong game
we all know kz2 is a different kinda game with the weighty feel

its works perfect on cod and Resistance and games like that without the weight
i tested on all my shooter games and the only one it wasnt really suited for was kz due to reason above

@ Arc yea it would be nice to get native support but dont see it happening, i wouldnt mind it
always up for a challenge

it doesnt make that much of a difference anyway whether the guy using a mouse or not
if ur good ur good

ppl hear guys using mouse and keyboard an automatically start gettin shaky or start lookin for excuses

never met a person using a mouse yet that i couldnt take down
didnt even know they were using a mouse till after games

i also blame the casual market for watering down FPS
back in d day shooters took skill and wasnt watered down because yuh cyah get kills
ppl get too comfortable with the easy stuff by the time a good challenge come around is complaints or sum other bs
