I was going to buy the above (S107RC) copter...and then I saw these new, cheaper, single-rotor V911s...



Lordy...that little sucker can MOVE! 

Definitely a step up from the Syma co-axials.

Meet the latest addition to 'Viper Squadron'. 




This review does more justice to this than I ever could.

I had to forget all my co-axial experience and learn to fly all over again.
Out of the box, it was set to the much more nimble 'Mode 2' (aka 'expert') setting.
Several alarming crashes later, I decided to change the pushrod links to the much gentler Mode 1 position.  Heavy doses of win commenced. 

I quickly realised that my apartment is way too small to fly this properly.  Even on Mode 1, this little firecracker still operates like a hummingbird on acid.

I need a gymnasium. 


Of course, when I master this little bad boy...I'll be moving up to it's bigger brother. 
I just hope the price drops below $100 US by the time I'm ready for it.

I actually have an RC chopper laying around the house. It was bought for my 3 year old son despite the manual saying 13 years+

Never actually flew the contraption yet. May have to take it for a spin and see what all the fuss is about.
