you should know the price eh really that reasonable...

check out the reviews:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-465-fermi-gf100,2642-12.html

http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-465-sli-review/

most other reviews state that the price is the shortcoming of the card

It's not only actual speed you need to look at, there are a lot of other factors... The memory is a LOT better, and the cores + speed + calcs per Hz makes a difference XD
It should be a good bit better than a GTX 285

Agreed. Clock speed is not everything. Overall gpu design and interconnect efficiency/throughput together is what makes a card.

I have to agree with what is being said there.
I previously owned 2 GTX280s in SLI, and when i got my GTX470 i expected it to work just a tad bit better than a single 280 due to its specs, but i was rudely surprised when the 470 ran all my games at the exact same settings as my SLI setup, with exactly the same performance or even better! (only game that showed slight performance drop was crysis)

It goes to show how little clock speeds play in the overall performance factor.
BTW, the tessellation cores on these things are FTW! All of the DX11 benchmark stuff i used (the interactive ones) run really smooth and look amazing, overall i was impressed with its performance over my SLI 280s

that i know is a fact

because wen doomtack and i did a small bench wen the card came in..we did it on my 32" lcd at 1920 x 1080 and its WAZ AMAZING!!!

there was clearly a difference in the way the card handled the textures...

another ting i forgot to mention in my post above.. was that the card is built on newer technology..so expect it to out perform the 2xx series in terms of efficiency and display on a whole!
