We not saying d Skeleton will move no air period :S we saying it not moving enouhg to properly cool them aprts, as apposed to a closed system. So a standing fan will work fine enouhg to cool a human, put it to cool something hot and dats totaly different. what u talking bout throwing physics out d window :S

What you said, made no sense, lets clear that up
if it works at 30 degrees Celsius, it will work @ 100 degrees Celsius provided you do the math and move the appropriate volume of air.
Its not that complex mathewhypolite so what is your difficulty in understanding??

you need to move x amount of air to remove y amount of heat from a system
so therefore you will need to move a multiple of x to remove an increased amount of heat .... really calm down
take a breath, use that "common sense" and work it through, like tying your shoe lacings take your time..

yes i know water and airflow is d same concept, but there are different things to take into account, like water pressure. but anyways before we get into d complicated topic of water lets get back to air.

dread, u hear what u say :s d same physics wil work :s if dats d case, lets juss get rid of heatsinks, and try coolin a 150degree cpu chip with a fan :s no matter how fast d fan blows, it is limited by d thermal transfer of the chip to air particles. its d same physics, but it wil not work in dat sense. dies why u have different methods of cooling.

so no matter how mcuh math u do, yuh wil reach a wal, dies why sceientist invent Heatsinks to begin wiht. and when dey reach d thermal threshold of metal-metal heat transfer. dey invented heatpipes, and so on and so fort. with differnt physics involved, for differnet applications.

air cooling CANNNN work for a cpu, it cannn work in place of metal heat sinks.
the reason why its NOT used?
because the amount of air you would need to push to be effective would require a MASSIVE wind generation source, so its not PRACTICAL!!! to do so
but it is NOT IMPOSSIBLE!!! and saying no matter how much math i use i will reach a wall is RUBBISH!!!!

we could very well go back to the days of using fans and not ac
i actually prefer fans in our climate than a.c, they have to work to hard to deal with our humidity

but the reason why we use a.c's is that they are more efficient in cooling closed areas than a fan of comparable size.
or put another way, you would need huge fans to do the same work as an ac.

did you know that a.cs were an accidental discovery?? there real and first purpose was to reduce the humudity of a room and it was found that they had the side effect of also cooling the room so now thats what they are big on but they still serve the major function of dehumidifying a room.

Dread if you dont know the math and physics just say so nah.

And water cooling is NOT more complex from a physics stand point than air is. Its all fluid dynamics, they follow the same principal. water is a more efficient coolant because its denser than air thats all, they both follow the same laws of fluid dynamics and thermal dynamics.

yes setting up a water cooling setup is more "complex" than an air solution ,but thats from an engineering stand point, not physics.

And in that light you should also know that water isnt the best coolant in a water cooling solution, not insulting your intelligence or experience with that one, iam sure yu know that.

And d more you post d more you show your limited understanding of physics, you ball air coolin can work to cool a cpu, jus d amount needed wont be practical. you know there wil reach a point, where if d air pressure and speed, against d metal is too much, it wil start generating heat right :S:S:S:S:S and d very componenet u trying to cool, u will end up heatin. so i am correct in saying no mater how mcuh math u do, air cooling just wont work in certain situations. and certain things ARE imposible from a scientific standpoint. unless you going to turn god, and control air in a way we arent capable of doing using science.

And differnt types of cooling are complex, and have different principles, some mite be similar but not all. HeatPipe tehc, is different from airflow, waterflow is different, phase change is different, peltier is different. All cooling solutions adapted for pc use.

And since we going to keep going on and on. and since you're such a physics expert. Lets put it to the test buddy.

You build a system using the Skeleton. And ill build a system using the same parts you use except with my case and airflow design. we put them in d same room. and see who gets better thermals. The winer getin d next man machine.

Striaght up chalenge. since you so convident in your arguments. i can back up mine, and i ready and waitin as you say go.

i think iam narrowing down your problem, your terminology.

There are basic laws that govern thermodynamics. Peltier and heat pipe and heat sink are the same, air cooling, water cooling, phase change are the same.
What is different is in the application and the efficiency of each type of cooling, the physics does NOT CHANGE.
convection, conduction, radiation. Those are the three heat transfer methods in use, common to all the systems.

And as for the air generating heat via friction against the processor, the cooling effect is bound to outweigh the heating effect, so the delta between the two is sufficient to ensure that there is more cooling than heating taking place.

As for the straight up challenge as you put it
fine why not, in 3 months ill be done with my machine, wont be exact same hardware as yours but quite similiar
so the heat output should be similiar enuff, ill get the extra money and get a skeleton as well.

Iam sure youve heard the expression that nothing is impossible, just mathematically improbable
and in this case, the skeleton has enuff maths behind it to make it a probable cooling solution.
