Best Sound in film

[Red Paradox]

I was watching District 9 a few nights ago (again) in surround sound and I realise that sound is very key element in film....even more than visual effects.
I just love to hear the sound of a cool explosion, or tracer fire flying overhead.

What movies do you guys appreciate, SOUND wise?

I have a huge list but I'll list a few:
Saving Private Ryan
Black Hawk Down
Star Wars
Raiders of the Lost Ark
War of the Worlds
Independence Day
The Rock
and
The Bourne Ultimatum

Band of Brothers, loved this series I bought the metal kit the boxset comes in, went and bought one of those expensive as hell digital cables hooked it up to my bros xbox and watched the movie in DTS all I can say is wow, sound plus a good movie truly is heaven.  It truly felt like I was watching the movie for the first time again, hearing the explosions going off and still being able to hear the voice acting all I can say is wow, get yourself a good sound setup and watch this really makes it worthwhile.

Matrix Trilogy had some great sound effects for me.
Other favorites include (but not limited to);
Cloverfield
Transformers 1
Harry Potter movies
Punisher (the new one)
Spiderman Movies.

And a few more i can't remember rite now.

saw that on my 23rd birthday in Movietowne it was BESSSS
Visually and Aurally

Black Hawk Down did it for me....that movie really did it in terms of sound effects.
Also some of the James Bond movies got my attention and Bad Boys 2.

Other than some of those high lighted here: Dark Knight, Jaws, Event Horizon, Wall E

Both effects and design
good picks too...Dark Knight had some nice sound especially in the chase scene in the tunnels
