Ahh but you are closing out so many things. Anytime you start quoting ninja assassin as the basis for fight choreography and realism i am disappointed lol.

Also the fight in Sherlock Holmes, YES ridiculously epic, including that last fight BUT they are the style of sherlock holmes and cannot be repeated here lol.

Yes W1ntry said that and more, he raised valid points as to why he enjoyed the movie without nitpicking and stated what was "iffy". No I don't want ppl to stop talking about the movie however this certain aspect has gone around in circles for so long based on what?  You thought they were supposed to fight like ninjas? lawl. The only aspect of the training he used was  use of theatricality and deception. He adapted the combat to fit his own needs.

Even I had some feelings about those convenient moments in the film and even some of the discrepancies which if looked at carefully enough there were answers. That being said I did give definite answers for what ya'll were complaining about yet ppl can't let it go.

@ LQDSNK  Bravo! This movie doesn't hold your hand for every step of the way, the information is there you just have to apply it.

And I mean before, c'mon using video games, naruto and other toons and The Avengers which was a 1:1 carbon copy of it's comicbook counterpart as basis for why the fights should have been imba? Unreal dude. Nolan's Bat films are not set in a comicbook world and none of the other 2 films where he was in his prime did they have that hyperactive choreography so to expect that for a Batman who was out for 8yrs hence ALL his skills slowly degraded. Actually now I wanna stay and continue refuting those claims.

hahahha @ "I hated my father... Until you killed him."

Classic woman in general yes.

@ lqdsnk....I never mentioned realism. I said the Ninja Assassin fight was yet another example of an epic 1v1. As was Sherlock Holmes. Old guys in movies fighting epicly.

As W1ntry said before Holmes and Bats are the same when you look at them on the outside but the actual logistics if you will of how they operate are different and Holmes was made as a Superior character anyway. Still you're not taking into the account of an ordinary man with training vs a prodigy. And Bruce had years of injuries built up on him and not to mention his now even more fractured psyche and he was now getting slightly back into shape which is why he had that built but still looked a lil pudgy at the beginning.

And Ninja Assassin was MEANT to be over the top. Still can't be a valid comparison to Nolan's Batman.

For the purpose of people who haven't seen the show yet, please refrain from posting critical information about the show's plot, without the appropriate spoiler tag.

Carry on.

http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/172153-details-on-a-deleted-scene-from-the-dark-knight-rises

Seeing as this is his last I smell a director's cut coming, plz. The scene might have been kinda disturbing when you think of it.

Quote

GQ was talking to The Dark Knight Rises costume designer Lindy Hemming and she let out some details for a deleted scene in the film, though in her defense she didn't know it was deleted because she hasn't seen the movie yet. Here's the excerpts:
GQ: What!? You haven't seen the movie yet?

Lindy Hemming: It's not out in England yet, but the other thing that you should have seen during that sequence is him being injured in his youth. So one of the fundamental things about his costume is that he has this scar from the back injury. Even if he hasn't got the bulletproof vest on, he still has to wear the waist belt and the braces. In that scene in the prison, where he's learning to fight the same way Batman learned to fight, he's wearing an early version of his waist belt. It's showing support, but it's not the finished one he eventually wears. He's also wearing an early version of his gas mask, all glued together.

GQ: I remember one scene where we see his face covered in bandages, is this what you're referring to?

Lindy Hemming: Well, if you look at the film, unless they've cut it—and I'm sure they haven't—there's a whole early section for Tom Hardy where he's fighting and being taunted by people. He's got chains on him, and he's standing on a wooden thing while people are attacking him. And in that scene, he's wearing a much more ragged, primitive version of the mask.

GQ: I think that Bane scene must've been cut...

Lindy Hemming: Well that's an awful shame, but I suppose you have to cut things. I won't elaborate on it too much, because it isn't in the film, but there was another section that showed you why he had the mask and where it came from.

Sounds pretty rough, which would make sense for several of these concept designs for his back scar. Visual effects artist Sebastian Lochmann posted these photos of some designs for Bane's back injury and they're pretty gruesome.

those concept pictures are nastier that what we got.....

Definitely, I would have liked a little more of an expose on Bane for the uninitiated but I understand why they sort of glossed over it.

Made for a better "big reveal" at the end.

Saw it and I must say I was getting a little worried with the length of time they were taking to do the build up but it was good in the end.

A well thought out dive into the happenings of the Batman! Twas a good watch!!

Nolan's adaptation of fantasy to reality was brilliant. The parallels he Drew brought a smile to my gave when they dawned on me. Bane wears a mask that when damaged is his weakness-bane wears a mask that when the venom tubing is cut is his weakness. Cat woman's ears are actually her night vision goggles. Ra's al ghul was immortal through the use of the lazarus Pit and even took his daughters body in the comic-his daughter continued his work and a short dialog about living on in other ways... There is far more to applaud in this movie than to boo, y'all just either hating for no reason or not looking properly at the depth of the movie

Exactly. The amount of parallels and similarities to Batman lore and realizing he actually managed to put his own stamp on the character while pleasing fans had me once again saying, Nolan you crafty bastard. These ARE the definitive Batman movies.

Who is hating, I think everyone in the thread gave it at least an 8 out of 10.

Reason points were deducted from being a 10 out of 10 were firmly expounded, that's all. Still, 8 out of 10 is a solid score at the end of the day.

Funny enough, I just saw the Batman Year One animated movie. (Not sure how I missed it before, its been out for a while)

Now that was Epic! They should have called it "Commission Gordon Year One" since he almost stole the show from a fledgling batman, now finding his feet. It eclipsed the movie for me, which is saying a lot.

A decisive 10 Busted Corrupted Police Officers out of 10.

I'd actually call the animated Movies and even the TV series the definitive Batman works (imo of course) with Conroy's voice work.

*Should be noted, Conroy didn't do year one but it was still very much epic.

Mature and intelligent.

Also, just saw Legion Of Doom. Another win. Batman starred once again. 9 beaten Cheetahs out of 10

Despite the one or two lines saying the movie was good etc. what came before that ultimately buried any praise you all tried to give it is what he means.

Year One was the jumping point for Batman Begins.

That's the norm. We usually give movies a two lines big up and a score. Not so?

Personally, I avoid going on about the good stuff to avoid spoilers for other GATTers who haven't seen the film yet.

Same for games. There is tons more discourse on the misgivings than the pros in general.
