gameplay > graphics all day
especially since its mp im sure u will be spending most ur time in so really shouldnt have all da free time to study pretty colours when bullets rainin in
now sp yes graphics matter ALOT

ur gonna be disappointed ALOT if u keep comparing console games to ur PC setup maxed out
probably only ps3 exclusives would match up graphics wise so its best to go into games with an open mind and put graphics (when it comes to mp games at least) to d side over gameplay and actually playin with ppl

how many people here running this on ps3?

considering picking it up, but only if a sizable portion of local gamers running it. (only see about 4 people running it on psn at any givin time)

At awesome, you should give it a try on PC again, my issues all but evaporated, no lag/stuttering nun.

I've accepted that consoles wont be able to match up with pc's in terms of graphics but imo, they look pretty damn good. Forza on 360 and uncharted on ps3 looks great.

This is not my point, so maybe I was not clear. I dont mind if it doesnt look AS good as the pc, but in the case of BO, its HOW much worse it looks is my issue. By comparison, it looks like the result after you give a 2nd year child a box of crayons and a colouring book for a couple hours.

I dont want anyone to take this the wrong way. I am not hating on consoles on the whole, just Black Ops.

Why cant we have both good graphics AND good gameplay? Other games proved that you can have both. Understand that my entire gaming life has centered around the PC and its associated perks. It is VERYY difficult for me to settle for poor graphics, even with the best of gameplay.

These are MY views on the subject, my OPINION only. There is no need to start getting defensive or rebuking my statements because it appears that I am the only one who shares this outlook. How it sold so much is beyond me, but its hard for me to argue with nearly $1 billion in sales on the consoles right?

LOL. I totally agree on the graphics. Remember I told you before that most of the games running on 720p or less on xbox eh.

thats like 1024x768 for the uninitiated.

In the PC world, totally unacceptable, In the console world, that's status quo.

Been complaining about it since Halo 3

Once you get past the sub par graphics.....(and I know that's not gonna be easy for a PC Veteran)....what is your take on the gameplay and overall experience on the 360 in regards to Blackops?

Yeah boy wyatt, I band meh belly going in eh but I didnt band it nearly tight enough. Hernia in me mc.

Gameplay is good, mostly smooth even on a wireless connection to my AP. Cant say its that much better or worse on the pc. Difference is that there are a whole lot more lcal men on the xbox.

Also at times it seemed as though that the time I was waiting to get into a game would be equal to the the duration of an actual game, so that was a bit of a bummer.

I liked that I can create a class in the lobby as opposed to the pc version where u have to actually come out the server.

Other than that, the experience was pretty similar gameplay wise.

the local Xbox live community and gameplay online makes up for the graphics IMO. Especially since we can all come together and beat up on some foreigners. Yes, its not the best the game could be, but its FUN nonetheless. You can at least admit that Awesome :P

With Wyatt and You having something to prove in terms of KB and Mouse being superior, I still waiting for you guys to show what you can do with that XIM contraption you guys have there, cause so far is;

redlum, you ain't watch the screenshots I post or what???  Some epic KDRs iymc. Not outlandish like Czars, but you can't argue with a KDR of 8.

and like I was saying yesterday, done top score a few games already. What more yuh want?

lol @ hernia

Yeah boy awesome, that's a definite "con". the waiting time in the lobby....when the party gets out of hand (say anything more than 4 trinis) is serious limbo minutes iwmc.

It is a result of the system trying to keep everyone in the party on the same team. With four players and less, easy maths. Trying find a team to balance against 8 elite trinis on the other hand, will take some doing. Hence the long lobby idling.

I usually pass the time on a laptop

And they are elite. I can count the number of games I've lost while playing with redlum, slyczar, w1ntry, etc... on my team with one hand. Advantageous mofos. Swear our win percentage is like 90.

My Xim is about 90% PC like right now. Enough that I no longer consider it a factor. Performance is strictly down to my skill (or lack thereof), map knowledge and latency.

In games where Jarrox host....I'll rip up. Since he's on flow as well and I'll be on 4 green bars to him. If someone else hosts....well I'll do 2 yellow or 3 green. Still good...but not exceptional.

Either way, loads better than PC. Its so nice to shoot a man and actually hit him. No warping, teleporting BS and other quirky ish that plagued my earlier blackops experience.

Agreed @ berserk. It has gotten much better now.....but the bitter taste remains

I can say the game runs smooth on the PS3 as well, so feel free to give it a run. I'd also say it looks better  than the 360 (but don't hold me to that one). Blu_Vice/Ap/Woody/Suzie should be able to say more on the community around the game, since I've not been much of an FPS man on that platform. Only fighting games and singstar ftw.

We not talking about between games, we talking about when we beat a team so bad they quit, and then we have to back out to the lobby to search again if the matchmaking doesn't fill the lobby again, so the wait time Wyatt talking about is when we back out to the lobby and starting another search. We have a tendency to beat up on teams so badly that they play one or two games and then leave...

The other thing that bumps up the wait time is the various men who NAT nuh open or who on Blink and cyah join up proper wit Flow men etc - case in point is Masuda (WarOne), cuz unless he host d party, is jes pressah fuh he to get into d lobby, so we's end up playin musical hosts sometimes, or goin in and backin out a few times until we get d full squad in d same lobby, cuz we nah leave a man behind :)

Apparently Vice has stated in the past that he finds TDM to be too campy. At least on the PS3 side of things. But you know what we do to campers on Xbox Live right Wyatt. We make them pay dearly...ROFL

I enjoy most of the game modes. Been playing black ops for a few weeks now with friends on PSN. It started off really bad with bugs preventing parties from forming. It has gotten alot better with the last patch IMO. We always end up playing TDM and hardcore TDM.

From what I have seen, there are about 2 or 3 men that if they are present in the party I cant join.  Since everyone else can connect I just dont bother and go on the other team to take my dose from allyuh men.

My connection is weird cause I dont get any trouble at all connecting to Flow users at all, whether it be on Pc or 360.  Found it strange tho that in Black Ops I am getting trouble connecting to Loki when he is also on Blink.
