I got it last night ppl, steam id ario0787.

anybody willing to offer some help, or helpful advice? my pc is really stuggling to run this for some reason. I'm out of ideas as to what to do to help the situation, the framerate is terrible. I tried changing the settings to have the gpu take more load than the cpus but like a true noob nothing doing.

Full specs here:

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/id/10146369.aspx

any help is appreciated...I deleted over 100gb of stuff just to try and free up a bit. gonna run some defrag and stuff now.

lol, you didn't read this thread now did you???

blackops on the PC = DOA

You should have gotten it for the PS3 or Xbox 360.

I just played it on Christmas day by a friend on the PS3. Ran smooth as silk. Surprisingly, playing with the Playstation controller wasn't half bad.

However, if you're a glutton for punishment, trudge through this thread. You should see a few tips to get it behaving on the PC.

Mine actually works alright since the last patch.

It ent have no such things as 'bligh' this rounds nah.  Too many other good or better games out there to be giving yet another half-assed console-port a 'bligh'.  Treyarch saw what happened with Insanity Ward, and STILL f@#ked it up.

Activision/Treyarch gets no more 'blighs', no more love, and certainly no more money.

^^ Was now gonna say something similar. Give them a "bligh"? Pfft, that is why they end up with these half-assed games. The devs know they could just put out some crap and gamers would still give them a "bligh" cuz they can't stop cradling COD's balls.

Im so glad I didn't buy this yes.  :cowboy:

Honestly the game wasn't bad at all from a console perspective...the game biggest fault is the PC version for sure.

Otherwise the game descent, the storyline kinda thief head which is cool.
multilayer is solid and satisfying.

This game is worth the money only on the console.

Okay Black Ops gets a pass from me, my padna lent me his copy so I am running it on the 360, gonna be some tough times ahead as I plan on only sniping my life away.  I fully expect to get 3-20 type games in a row.

Took a vid of me playing my first day, good times.

This is what I did right after I got the Ballistic Knife.

Agreed. The only drawbacks on console are graphics and lack of dedicated servers when compared to pc version. At least on console you can play it :P

What is this 'damn good' of which you speak?

I shall give it ONE more try on my new hardware...and we shall see if it progresses to 'playable'.

EDIT:  New hardware, new drivers, same old fail.

* uninstalls again *

DICE made TWO online MP games this year that aren't full of fail.  I'll play those instead.

After reading Arcman's post, decided to give BO a lil run. On first try it stuttered and CTD (crash to desktop)

Then I ran it again, proceeded to get 100+ fps on max settings without a stutter in sight, for at least 5 games straight.

Whatever they did to optimize it, working well on this end.

Bc2 on the pc is 4 per squad but when you have a full squad or 2 on mumble talking on the same side your team is unstoppable.

Black ops was a fail in my book i wish i never had pay for it

Well you and Steam, or Activision have some arcane pact forged in the deep, dark reaches
of the abyss, because no amount of tweaking on my end  makes it work properly...and
thats after reinstalling...TWICE.

i'm not bothering any more...and I don't even care enough to get the console version.

As usual, Activision can stick it.
