Oh crap I forgot about that game....truth is though when I got the gravity gun I forgot about all the other weapons...I mean using a weapon to fling energy orbs and toilets and ting
lol

I must say despite the biasness and crap that's goin on with the developers and so forth...I'm still eternally grateful to play the Call of Duty games...it give me a better reason to watch history channel, google weapons, find excuse to cuss men via multiplayer and I hope they continue to make em and expand on them

Just thought I'd throw that out...seeing that I'm grateful for cool series like Street Fighter, MGS, Resident Evil and so forth

7 years and counting woot!

Its due out November 9th of this year.

here is the Synopsis of the game so far.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is set during the Cold War.  Players take the role of black ops operators involved in missions behind enemy lines, taking place in various locations such as the Ural Mountains and Vietnam.

As SOG operators, playable characters will have much more significant roles on the battlefield than their previous counterparts who were often the common soldiers. In this way, the player's characters will have their own traits such as voices (during in-game sequences) and shadows.

Black Ops is a sequel to World at War as one of its main characters Reznov (the sergeant during the Russian campaign) is returning.

  Multiplayer

    * Vehicles will return, but they will be very different than those in Call of Duty: World at War.

    * Black Ops will feature a dedicated co-op campaign, supporting up to four players, which uses different levels than the singleplayer campaign. When asked about zombies in an interview, they stated that they could not talk about the co-op campaign, hinting that it will be a zombie campaign. 

    * Treyarch is considering releasing a beta-build test, and has hinted that it is likely.

    * Matchmaking is being changed so that it is easier for friends to play together.

    * Some campaign levels will be based off multiplayer maps instead of the typical vice-versa. This change is because some multiplayer maps had been made before the campaign was finalized.

    * Create-A-Class 2.0 will allow players to customize their appearance in addition to their loadout.

    * Customized killstreaks will return, but the game-ending Tactical Nuke will not. Kills earned from killstreak rewards will not count towards increasing a player's killstreak.

    * The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 perks, Commando and One Man Army, are not going to return.

    * The PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops will feature dedicated servers.

    * Shotguns and Machine Pistols as secondary weapons are not expected to return, as Treyarch stated in an interview that they give the player "too much firepower".

In my opinion...they should do away with 'perks' entirely, and give us a whole lot of insanely modifiable guns.
Of course, the mods should be balanced so that you cant run around with a super-accurate, fully automatic
sniper-rifle.

There are a lot of stupid-@$$ players out there who always find some way to gain some sort of unfair advantage with these perks.  I say return to the Call Of Duty of old, and have all players on a level playing field.  Let actual skill decide the outcome of the game, and not these stupid perks.

If you want the Call of Duty of old then get rid of both perks an modifications to weapons an take up the ranking system from Call of Duty United Offensive.

The system requirements will likely be a little higher than MW2 , from the trailer it seems the game is alot more polished looking with bigger maps , but anyone with a fast dual core and an 8800gt/4850 shouldn't have to worry i'd say .
